There has been a bad rash of users negatively rating innocent people, dropping their stars dramatically and even making some disappear altogether! I call them "minus maniacs" and they are the bane to the existence of all decent and good members of mylot. Many of us have been complaining about the BROKEN rating system and stupid stars for YEARS since they are so easy to abuse, and mylot IGNORES our pleas, often claiming that the stupid stars cannot be effected by any one or group of users abusing the rating system (that's a lie). They have repeatedly claimed that there is nothing wrong, that the system is NOT broken, but ask any of the people here with one stars or no star at all and you'll learn otherwise. There is one thing I can think of that will help make mylot a nicer place for all the good people here, especially the ones who have been wrongfully targeted by the minus maniacs - it's called a "Plus Party" and I know it works because my friends and I had one for my friend Lori years ago when her star had been dropped to a two, overnight we had her back up into a decent star! It takes very little effort to make a star drop, but t takes a LOT of work to get it to go up again after it's been trashed, so what you do is pick a person you want to help, and go to their profile, find as many of their posts as you can and rate them with a plus! It doesn't take a whole lot of time to do this simple random act of kindness, and it can make a world of difference to somebody who may be feeling low about what has happened to them here. Tell your friends and get them in on the plus party too! Today I am working on two friends, one who is ill and saw her star go from 7 to 1 overnight even though she is a nice person. It really upsets me, because I know she's not feeling well and the nasty minus crap here is the last thing she needs right now. The other is a nice person who got trolled so badly by other users that she closed her account and opened a new one. When she finally reached 100, she discovered that she only had a 2 star (meaning the maniacs have had at her) and the next day the star vanished entirely! Please take some time out of your posting today and spend a little time spreading some good mylot vibes, find a person you think may have had their star wrongly attacked and plus the heck out of them! Be part of the solution and fight the problem with your awesomeness, join the Plus Party! (Don't bother plussing me, I EARNED my five star and I don't really care whether it goes up or down, save those plusses for somebody who needs it!) Now there is a strong likelihood that this discussion will be deleted, so don't post a response if you don't want to lose that point later.
