Have you ever been robbed

Well the worst possible happened to me last week . It was about 8:30 am and I was going to the corner store,not in the best neighborhood,just to get a gallon of milk.
I walked out of the store and to guys approached me with a knife and told me to take all my gold jewelry off.
I don't no why but I did.I am so upset.My mother and a few others say it can be replaced .But your life can not.But I don't no why I didn't scream or do anything. I guess I was just stunned.
Well has this happened to any of you. And how did you feel.

Well, back when I was working in a Convenience store back in the early 2000's I was robbed twice. Once at gunpoint, and the other just with a plastic sack. Both times were definately scary, and to the point I would never consider working in a Convenience store ever again. I unfortunately was never able to get anything from this as I chose not to File Crime Victims compensation but personally I feel this is a Good lesson learned for sure. At least I escaped both of them unharmed.

Yes. Several years ago I had all of my holiday money, my passport, camera with all my holiday photos on it, and my travel tickets all stolen when I was on holiday in Barcelona. Fortunately I still had my wallet with a small amount of money and a credit card in it so I was able to get back home though not without difficulty. Very depressed and angry at the criminals who had ruined my holiday.

I live and work in an area where I have to be scared of being robbed going out at night. But it's never happened. I guess because I know how often and take many precautions. I am sorry that you had to experience that. It is better you didn't scream because you might of been hurt. I don't know how I would react.

No, thankfully. I don't know if I have ever seen anyone robbed in front of my eyes either. My brother's car was broken into once, but we didn't see it happen. I'd like to think I can defend myself, but who knows what could happen in the heat of the moment. But if I ever were to be in a situation, I would give them anything (money, jewelry, etc) I had on me as long as I come out of it alive.
