I have not sewed in years and I really want to start again. Are there any sites that have free online patterns?

Hey thats a really good question, I am new to sewing too (with a sewing machine that is). Victorian petticoats is what Im really into now and any look with lace but mostly vintage looks. I found that simplicity patterns and Truly Victorian patterns are the best for me. I do not know one place in particular and I didn't write down the websites I found the free patterns on but for me when I was looking for a skirt pattern just to get an idea of the basic peices I would need before buying and actual pattern, I did find some. There were also some sites (nothing big, just people offering their own patterns) that would give you a basic diagram of how to construct your own pattern by taking your own measurements and they tell you how to calculate (which i was suprised how easy it looked) it into a pattern. All I did was search "easy skirt patterns" and with a little surfing you find some things but I do not have printer ink right now so I just didn't save it (my memory's shot so I didn't want to save it). Patterns that fit you (a BUNCH of useful tips and diagrams): http://patternsthatfityou.com/frskirtcl.htm Craftster (circle skirt) http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=12439.0

What kind of patterns are you looking for? I am busily down sizing my collection and may be able to help you out. Yes, they would be for free...It's just nice to find someone who could use them.
