What do you do when you can't sleep at night?

What do you do when regardless what you do, you just can't sleep at night? Tossing and turning don't help but you're quite sleepy but your eyes just won't shut it. I usually go online and look for ways to spend my energy on. A little bit of mylot here, and a little bit of games there. Soon, I'd find myself too sleepy to concentrate, then I go to sleep. What about you?

I have had sleepless nights many a times in my life. I simply browse through the computer or watch some show on the television. Then the next best thing i would prefer doing is to read some good novel, but watching latenight TV shows/movies is one of my favorites.

I have read the story " THE MERCHANT OF VENICE ". Its very nice story of ancient times.

It is very unusual for me not to be able to drift off because I am generally very sleep deprived! On the rare occasion when I am unable to fall asleep I usually have to get up and do something which will tire me out like my morning chores for example; not very exciting work which gets me tired and sleepy before I know it!

(lol) I don't do anything too exciting, I'm afraid! I just have a busy life and being a morning person I am usually up before dawn. It's great finishing all my chores early in the day but it tends to catch up me! I average 6 hours sleep or less.

I am usually sleepy before I even get to go to bed, I am on a regular schedule of going to bed around ten p.m now days, not a single sleepless night for me since then. It has been that in the past whenever I went to bed randomly that I had problems going to sleep, but going to bed at a same hour cure that for me.

what can i say... i am an insomniac. meaning i dont really sleep early. and many sleepless nights is already in my system. so to tire my mind, eyes and bdy. i usually go online, or play games on my phone, start downloading stuffs, sometimes... i read novels, magazines... play some music to set the sleepy mode. or sometimes watch tv or wherever my eyes would wander off. as long as it makes my eyes weary for that given evening. thanks friend jhelai

Hi myLot friend laydee, Greetings, My position is also the same, when I got night sleep I use to sit before the computer for the internet., than the day time work will be suffered much. will some body may kindly be consider to send ways and means get good night sleep in the advance age of 59 or 60 years. I always have a book by the side of my bed.. and this is a book that will sure let me into sleep if I read it as I have been reading it many many times.. if this don't work, I rather not to read, and I will just go online and browse through all my blogroll.. at least by that, I get my ears will be tired, and I hope I could be sleeping..

I usually don't have that problem, but when I do, I either watch tv or get on the computer. They both usually put me right to sleep.

I barely ever sleep all night. I usually go to sleep around 3 or 4 a.m. and wake up at 5:30 a.m. I do nap if I am home. I dont know why but I have the worst sleeping habits. THat's why I prefer working the graveyard shift. Its like I have my days and nights mixed up. If i am up I will clean or get on the computer. I like to read if I have a good book. Mostly I will try to do things to make me tired. THen I will take a shower then go to bed and watch television. I usually have to fall asleep watching the television. I have the weirdest schedule. dl

I rarely have trouble sleeping. My son keeps me exhausted so therefore when nine oclock rolls around Im tired. However there are nights where no matter how tired I am my mind is busy and won't let me sleep. So I just turn the tv on and watch something till i just roll over and fall asleep. I try to watch comedy because it helps me relax.

I wake up I go to my stydy room and take up a book well an interesting one and I start to read the book till I get sleep again, I sometimes bring the book on my bed because I am sure to sleep more rapidly if I read on the bed. I have placed some icons on the top of my ceiling and I look at them sometimes to get a sleep.

It rarely happens, but whenever this happens I generally get online and search for someone to chat with.

I normally would go online to play some games or browse through some websites to make myself tired. At times I would read a book but I would never watch the TV as some of friends would do. Just have to do something better than twisting here and there on the bed, hoping to doze off because it would make one very frustrated..

Tossing and turning doesn't help. Try herbs teas like camomile. Then i read that rich in calcium would help so drink warm milk and light snack like oatmeal. It is not helpful to get our body physical to tire our muscles so we could go limp? I am also like u at times.

This happens to me many a times. But nothing to worry about or think of it as insomnia. I take it positively and think that I am too energetic to sleep even at night. Well, when such a thing happens I start visualizing my dreams with all the details about how will be my life and the stuffs I will purchase, the income, my dream home, my car, my multi-purpose mall etc. I try to sleep at first, but when I realize that I am not going into sleep I start this. Its a very fun exercise and fills me with inspiration to achieve my dreams.

I will sometimes go online to take care of a few things, if I'm having problems sleeping. I'll also sometimes watch television or clean the house. Sometimes I just need to tire myself out before I can sleep.

I read books and pray. Recite rosary and novena is very effective. But I don't do that because I want to get sleep early. But I know it's weffective. Happy myloting!

Hi there.. If i couldnt sleep at night..i turn on the TV with a glass of milk or watch movie. But often i'm not difficult to sleep so i rarely did that.. May be you are too tired..and not relax before get the bed... Hope soon you're not difficult be fast asleep...cheer..:)
