So What! YOU say you've seen it, but apparently no one else has!

"I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen," Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. "I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."
This statement by the State Health Director of Hawaii (and Obama supporter) is supposed to be the be all end all evidence of Obama's eligibility. It's supposed to put the whole question to rest.
How does her word on anything equate to final evidence? When I joined the Army, if I took a note from a state health official that they had seen my official, long form birth certificate, would that have been good enough? Those of you who are employers, if someone brought a note from the health department, would you be able to legally accept that as proof of eligibility to work in the US?
The fact is, Obama is hiding something. No one can honestly say that they are 100% sure he is eligible because Obama has made sure that no one can.
What is Obama's problem here? He won't release his long form birth certificate, his education records or anything else HE doesn't think is our business.
He considers himself above the law, above the Constitution and above scrutiny.
The real question here is, would you ever accept this kind of arrogance and disrespect from a politician YOU disagreed with?

You know, I can't say if there is anything to this theory about Obama possibly being born in Kenya, but there are definite oddities and discrepancies that come up about his birth often enough that it's not surprising that so many feel suspicion.
To say "I have seen the original vital records" is not saying "I have seen the original birth certificate". Like all other statements about Obama's birth, it lacks details. What vital records? Hospital records? Which hospital? He has recounted his birth at two different ones so far. And if Hawaii did indeed destroy all the original records 8 years ago, how did this person see them?
The problem is that every time they try again to explain away the controversy, they generate more questions with their lack of transparency and detail.
I don't know what's going on, but if feels like someone is hiding something.

BCMike, there was a "residency requirement" when Obama was born that required the American parent to have lived in the US for a certain amount of time for their child to be considered a "natural born citizen".
Apparently, Obama's mother didn't fit that requirement.

Also, if he was born in Kenya with his father at that time being a British subject, he would have at least had dual citizenship. That would also exclude him under the Constitution. So, it's still an important question and especially disturbing if Obama himself knew of these technicalities and so knew he was ineligible. That's why knowing if this is true or not is of such importance to so many. First, there is the issue of eligibility and secondly but just as important, the issue of deception.

in honesty, I have to agree, my mom lost my social security card when I was younger, but even though we still have my birth certificate and she has my social security number memorized, she is like really really worried we will need more proof as to who i am to get my social security card... and I think she may be right...
Personally, a birth certificate, if you are running for president, we have every right to know about, it is something that is known to come with the job.

All I got is my birth certificate though, I never got a drivers license or anything else, But mom thinks I should get a debit card with my picture on it... that might help, I've been homeschooled most of my life and we just moved to a new state... so yeah... I don't think I have any other forms of ID other than my birth certificate...
