No,that doesn't work for me because my place of work needs to be staffed 24/7 so I will usually be working for at least part of the weekend. I will be working 1.40pm to 9.40pm this Saturday and 7.15am to 3.15pm on Sunday.... but I will have the day off on Friday 
I have a weeks leave starting on 10th and my shifts have been allocated to give me the weekend off aswell.

Oh I see. We have different weekends then. It's nice you're having a leave for a week. Where will you spend your free time?

I guess people like different days of the week according to their lifestyle.
My favourite day is Saturday because we have more spare time to do what we want. Friday is usually the day when I feel exhausted from whole week's work. Knowing weekend is coming seems not to help since there are usually piles of washing and shopping need to be done during weekend. It may not sound positive but for the last few weekends I seemed busy doing lots of stuff instead of relaxing myself.
