Even though they exposed the racism of Judge Sotomajor, and not a single member of the Senate Judiciary Committee spoke out against it, they voted to confirm her as a Supreme Court Justice. Her nomination now goes to the full Senate, where she is expected to be confirmed. Not since the Jim Crow laws and the vile Dred Scott Decision has racism enjoyed a bigger vote of support by our Federal Government. I never want to here another democrat LIE about abhoring racism. Your party revels in, and celebrates it.

Please do not blame all democrats for this decision. I had no say in this whatsoever. Place the blame where it belongs, on the Judiciary Committee. You know that I am about as left as they come, and Sotomajors racism was as evident to me as the sky is blue. Nobody on capitol hill called me for my opinion though, and I doubt it would have made much difference if they had. The Senete Judiciary Committee is composed of Democrats AND Republicans. Why is it Ted, that only the Democrats recieve the brunt of your vigorous diabtribe?

That is why I said "Your Party" not you. I worded it carefully to separate the member from the party. I did say "LIE" because any attempt to say that the Democrat party wasnt' founded on racism and hasn't demonstrated a history of perpetuating it is a lie. Thanks for speaking out against racism, even if the party you affiliate with embraces it. Oh and btw, yes, Republicans who vote to confirm her are being just as supportive of racism. But they aren't acting in lockstep with any party allegiences. btw(2), I'm not a Republican anymore for the same type of thing... what the Republican Party has morphed into is something I can no longer support.

I absolutly agree that in this case racism was upheld. And its a shame that anyone who says so is so easily painted as a racist themselves. It was very shrewd political move on Obamas part. He knew exactly what he was doing. We do differ on the opinion of the Democratic party supporting racism as a whole though. I think you have a right to state your claim but in my opinion the jury is still out on that. Obama certainly dosent help the cause though... especially with this recent Gates scuttlebutt. Another obvious case of racism. But I digress.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that she had been confirmed! You are so right, but you know they are all hypocrites to begin with.
