Have you started/finished? I went yesterday. I ended up having to go to 3 different stores to get all the items on my daughters list. This was nutty. But I am done now, and glad of it. However I just saw an ad where wal-mart says you can get everything on your list for under $10. Having just spent $30 I am a bit irked. Has anyone else seen this ad?

We started a layaway at K-mart couple weeks ago. Mostly supplies, and I haven't even gotten their full lists yet. I got the backpacks, socks, undies, sneakers, and 2 outfits per child. That's for 4 of them this year, as my 3 year old should be starting Head Start, although I'm still waiting to hear for certain. Cost me over $400 just for that. To think I'm not even finished yet!!

At least you don't have a middle schooler- not only did he need a $25 calculator, he also needs a thumb drive which I have not found at Walmart or K-mart because it's a particular kind they want. Plus he needs graph paper, protractors... it's not as simple as a few notebooks and crayons anymore!! I'm dreading the twins entering middle school! 2 x everything, yikes!
I'm feeling okay, loads of ibuprofen!!

Doesn't that always happen? It does to me anyhow never fails that when I get what I need, I end of getting a paper exclaiming a big sale or savings on it. I bought my bike(a cruiser) for $164.00 including taxes, and $10 layaway fee. So the next day I get a paper and it shows the same bike for $109.00 Boy was I mad..I just wish I had insight to what might be on sale..to bad I am not physic I would save alot of money. My mom already got all my sisters stuff too..and I am sure she paid more then $10 to.

for me it's more like half done. there are like half of the school supplies list that i haven't got also. And yes i have to go to several stores, walmart, k-mart, target and the dollar store !
I learned my lesson not to do that the last minute like i did the last couple years.
