There were a lot of emotional and sad scenes in this movie. Did you cry watching it? At what part/s?

The first time I watched this I did cry. Without ruining it for anyone that hasn't seen it, I cried towards the end when John Coffey goes on the green mile for his last walk. I often thought that they could have made a prequel to this movie about Coffey's early life. You know how, what, why, when. It's always interested me in how he became what he was and where he family the same. Has anyone else ever wondered?

Huh I never really thought about it but I think would be pretty interesting. The movie didn't really go into it, so I think you're right- that would make for an interesting prequel.

I have always wondered about that, too. I think that would make a great movie, and I would definitely go to see it. They would have to keep the same actor as John Coffey, though, except of course in the younger scenes that he obviously couldn't play.

Yeah, it would have to be the same actor for sure. He has such a presence- and where else would you find someone so big anyway?

I cried hysterically at the ending of the green mile. It was really hard to watch. I really wanted to see him let off and I felt so horrible for him! My mother and I both had a crying fest together. xD

No the green mile did not make me cry because I have not seen this movie and I would not cry because some movies are fake and some are based on true stories and only god knows if this movie is based on a true story or not.

Haha why answer if you have never seen the movie. Oh well. I don't really cry from a movie based on whether it's true. I certainly have no impression that The Green Mile is true. I cried in the movie just because the story and the characters move me.

Yes, my daughter MADE me watch this movie. I didn't want to watch it, because I heard it was sad. It was a good movie, but we both cried hysterically at the end.

It's very hard for me to cry at fictional things like films and such. I'm not sure why, because I don't have the "thickest of skins" whenit comes to real-life scenarios. I felt so sorry for big John Coffi (or however you spell it) when he was being executed, because nobody except the prison guards knew the truth about him, and the emotion on his and Tom Hanks' face was so powerful, it made that scene one of the most memorable in cinematic history for me

hi... at first i found the movie to be quite calm and interesting but later as the movie went on i felt into the messages and casts of the crew.. the script has been excellently written keepin every detail up to the mark specially tom hanks role in it. at some parts the story urges you to cry but then it grips ur attention but then it grips your attention and make you wonder what the next plot is gonna be. the ending was really sad but then according to the movie if he was saved then everyone on the earth could have lived forever and ever without any reasons to die!!!
