Windows 7 is a complete new OS from Windows, personally i have been accustomed to use Windows XP and find it very user friendly .... I just want some expert opinions about what features are new in Windows 7 and overall is it worth installing... Guys leave your comments and suggestions to whatever you think about it .

There is an old saying " If it ain't broke don't fix it" I would take heed of that! This new system takes up a lot of space. I'd give anything to get XP back on my system, in my opinion XP will be hard to beat for a long time! Stick with what you have and count your blessings! tdemex

I really feel that if you have vista, you have to upgrade to Windows 7 as Vista was just bad at performance. The visuals in Windows 7 look the same as Vista but with very minor tweaks to the menu bar. However, the main reason why the Windows 7 Beta and Release Candidate is because it had great reliability and had a much improved performance like Windows XP. Basically, windows 7 will come free if you buy a computer even before it is released, because lots of manufactures are giving away credits! I think that Windows 7 will become a great OS if it meets its expectations and is finished and polished, unlike vista which left out the performance but focused on the visuals. If you already have a Mac X OS, then I would stick with it, as a Mac is much more durable and expensive.

Hey there! I think it's a great upgrade from Vista. It takes up more space on the HD but that shouldn't be a big deal. Most PC's nowadays come with at least 80GB of HD space. There is no issue with RAM though. Vista takes up half of the RAM I have installed. When I had 2GB of RAM, Vista took up 1GB. When I upgraded to 4GB of RAM, it took up 2GB. The same goes with Windows 7 but Windows 7 performs better. The searching is much faster and the starting of programs is much faster. The UI has been tweaked from Vista but at the expense of more resources used. XP runs fine and performs well. Windows 7 is almost as good as XP already. The thing with XP is, I always run into BSOD's. That rarely happens on Windows 7. I usually have a bunch of programs running when I use the computer. I've noticed that XP slows down when I have too many programs running. That's not the case with Windows 7 though. It's definitely an upgrade from Vista and with a few more tweaks and fixes, it will be an upgrade from from XP. Right now, Windows 7 is not 100% and still has a few bugs. Hopefully, when they release the completed version, it performs better than it does now.

It not worth at all. Because: - Takes a lot of spaces (16GB fir the OS itself) - It use big amount of RAM (2GB is only so-so, you need at least 3GB or ram) - It pushes your CPU to the limit - You've gotta have a good graphic card, at least with 512MB of ram on it. - It just the same as Vista, only they have a visual & interface advancement. So, for me, better stick with Vista or, for the best is XP.

I never upgrade my computer unless I end up getting a new computer. I still have Windows XP. I know someone who has Vista and she has good and bad things to say about it. I have seen about Windows on Windows website. Hopefully it is good when it comes out. I think it is kind of odd that they are releasing another Windows so soon. They usually take many years for another. But, hey, maybe it is great. I think my XP Pro is great and haven't had many complaints about it. So, I am going to keep it until I am forced to get another computer and have to get Windows 7.

While I haven't had the chance to see or use Win 7 yet, I hear that it is a huge upgrade on Vista. I have previously used XP and Vista. I liked XP over Vista because it was faster and less bulky than Vista. I use Vista now and have no real issues with it other than it's not worth it to upgrade from XP. Apparently from what I have read, 7 is what Vista should have been. It is supposed to be faster and more efficient that Vista so... I'm planning to upgrade to 7 but haven't taken advantage of the pre-order offers yet. Maybe I'm just too cautious when it comes to Microsoft products...
