Taxing Sodas Would Be Good For Healthcare.

There is now plenty of evidence to suggest many health problems are linked to how big a persons waistline is. Sodas obviously can pack on the pounds contributing to diseases. What I'm really trying to say is if sodas are taxed people will more than likely drink less of them resulting in prevention of more health problems. In the long run healthcare spending would be reduced and it could allow the government to insure more people without having to worry about budget problems as much.

then its not only soda that they should be taxing, it should be all types of junk foods; then they should be taxing the price of televisions, then gaming systems as they all contribute to the weight gain of the users.

Too much of that would be overkill though.

I think taxing all junk food to fund health care would be helpful. I pay so much in insurance now I sue don't want another tax on top of that, but if I wanted junk food I'd pay the tax that way.

I think that is a very good idea.Taxing soda would stop people buying so much and giving it to their kids, full of sugar and full of e numbers ,their teeth and gums and insides are all sugar coated twenty four seven not very good, for them. Then some of the blame must fall on the parents of these children they read all the stuff put about how unhealthy it is for them.
