How to find a number if a given fraction of it?

            1) In each of the following cases find the "money in the cash box" if,
a) 15% of the money is $9.
b) 0.28 of the money is $77
c)7/12 pf the money is $84
2) the bill that the accountant at a company had to pay for stationary used in March was$1,224.00.This was 153% of the money paid in February.How much money was paid in February for stationary?
3)Marie's mother gave her 0.21 of the money Marie had in her savings bank.This amounted to $14.70.How much money did Marie have in her savings bank?

             15% of the sum is 9$
            100%            is x
Then x is 9 multiplied by 100 and divided with 15.
In this case you obtain 60.
Another example:
c) 7/12 is 84$
   12/12 (1) is x
