Dogs doing tricks?

Have you ever successfully taught a pet dog any tricks? Have you tried to? I taught my old dog to shake hands and then she would try to do it everytime she was begging for food or something.

My dog can do most of the usual tricks (beg, shake hands, high 5) except roll over, but the cat does that trick. She also knows some useful tricks - I've taught her to pick up any dirty clothes off the floor and put them in the laundry basket. & she's expected to pick up any toys lying around & put them in her basket, even if the cat's the one that dragged them out. My favorite trick - the one that everyone who sees it loves - is when I ask her to untie my shoelaces, she gently tugs them until the knot is undone. It isn't easy for a big dog (Lab mix) to be so gentle with something as tiny as the laces. When I was first teaching my cat to do tricks, he would run over to me every time I went near the kitchen, meow at me, then do the trick. & he would scream at me until I gave him a treat for doing his trick.

We taught our dog tricks. I just don't know if sitting, lying down is a trick. He also kiss people when we tell him to kiss us. Our dog is such a sweet dog and is considered to be part of our family. He has his own clothes too! And when he does not wear one, he seems to be naked.
