What are some healthy food choices for my one year old?

I don't want to be the too busy mom who warms up mac and cheese or spaghetti O's for her little one. I want him to have healthy meals to set him up to make healthy decisions later on. I'm just running out of ideas for him. He won't be one until September, but he already is through with me spoon feeding him. Also, I'm so used to watching how much he eats by reading the ounces posted on the side of the baby food jar. How do you know how much food to give a pre-toddler?

I used to cut cheese into little bity bite size pieces for my kids. Green beans are a good "finger food" also. Good cereals are good too. That's a couple of things I kept handy for snacks for my kids. Hope that helps a little bit...

I have this same question with my 7 month old daughter, i never know if she is eating enough or too little it drives me insane. I think meal wise you cannot beat things like meat and veg, spaghetti bolognese, fish pies, with the second two you can throw vegetables in the the mix and they wont even notice. Do you make up his meals yourself of just use the jars?
