Do You Ever Realize Your Clothing Is Already Used Before You Buy It?

I know nowadays more and more people are turning towards second hand shops in order to buys things like clothes because of the recesssion but there are a ton of people who refuse to just because of the fact it is used, but when you think about the clothing items in the store - that don't get wash - how many times do you think that one piece of article has been tried on? Also my grandpa has this thing with refusing to buy used shoes because of foot fungus and what not, but still the same thing gets applied. Even though people are suppose to use the hose/socks before trying on shoes many of them don't even if the item is brand new. So have you really ever stopped and thought about how "new" your clothes really are?

I know what you are saying. I work in retail store, and wow, you can even imagine how many people return clothing that they already bought. That's why i always wash all "new' clothing that I just bought, not only under garment. Better safe than sorry

I am the same way as you are. At first when my parents insisted the fact I couldn't understand why, but right now I'm also working in retail and there are certain items of clothing that get tried on 3-5 times daily and takes weeks in order to get out of the store. Plus I've seen/smelt some of the people that come in so precautions need to be taken.

I don't really mind if my clothes are second hand or not. I think that if we wash the clothes well before we wear them then we won't get any skin problems that the old owner used to have hehe I am not that keen with shoes though, I have no idea how foot fungus can be transferred, but then again, if I am wearing socks, then I guess my feet is still protected

I prefer buying clothes that are new, but when I can find good ones I will buy at the second hand store. I wear a pair of shorts now that I got there.
