Where do you get your MP3's and movies or softwares? Do you buy them or just download?

Hi, Redhornet! Maybe it's because I've collected royalties for some of my work that I'm really touchy on this issue. I don't believe anyone should perform their job free, unless they choose to volunteer. I will not have a download that I haven't bought, unless it's one of those rare ones that's offered free. I not only won't buy a bootleg CD or DVD; I won't watch one or listen to one. It's theft.

Wow, it must be great to receive royalties? Can I ask what's the nature of your royalties? I mean are you a recording artist, a novelists, an actor? Downloading stuff destroys these industries so I really buy and support the artist who makes them for me. I agree it is theft, piracy is thievery. But I can be guilty of it sometimes too. (sob)

I have to admit it, but I use torrents for all my music :( , I feel it is the best way and is much more convenient and I don't have this kind of money for music. Also, I wouldn't have bought most of the songs as I really wanted to try it first, so I know if it is good.

I have to admit that, I download movies and music. I know it totally violates the concept of intellectual property, but maybe the reason of other people and I still doing it is there no law to prevent people from illegal downloading.

me i buy at stores what i need. i dont believe in downloading things unless its something i cant find otherwise...and there are some things i cant. so for the most part i buy when something comes out on DVD or a new video game or CD comes out.
