Why do people drink WHISKEY?!

I'm just curious to know. I've had it a couple times and it's just..ICKY! If you drink whiskey, WHY?!!

I think almost people who drink whiskey because they addict it or somebody who have a problem in their life but they don't have the way to solve.

basically it makes you feel warm and takes you high.. but it depends on various kinds of whiskey.. like premium whiskies are really smooth and worth having it. It's real fun once you get high and you forget the bitter taste

It gets you drunk---thats probably why people drink it! It's not bad with diet coke! I always liked to dump out half of a bottle of diet coke, and pour jack daniels into the rest and bring it with me to the movies or to the golf course or whatever!
