Did you know that solving puzzles (game) help people in solve problems in theri real life? Well, I got to know abouthis theory only a couple of days ago. Games like building blocks and jiigsaw puzzles (and many other games) develop the problem-solving behavior in them which would actually help them solve many of thier problems with ease, as they grow up. So what are the differnt kinds of puzzle/problem solving games used by kids and adults?

I prefer to change that statement to "solving games help people in solving realtime trouble", because not only puzzle, all kind of game which is need brain actually stimulate the brain itself to creating more neuron, our brain actually growing, the more we use, the more it grow. That's why I like to play games like video games about solving mystery, finding a way for defeating enemy, all kind of that makes me think wider. I can see more possibility of solving a problem better and getting easy to control my emotion, not easy to get panic.

There are lots of connections between the games we play and the real time situations. Yes, you are right. Solving puzzles help us to solve problems in real life. For example, the game Chess talks about how to make wise and clever movements in a war. I love playing jigsaw puzzles and building blocks. I think they also refresh my mind and brain.

WOW - I love playing chess too - i think it not only helps us to deal with war situations but also in real life - when you will have to think ways to conteract (or counter attack) someone ;P

I do believe that doing stuff like that will help in keeping the mind sharper and we will be able to remember and focus on things alot better if we do practice with puzzles, games, brain teasers and other stuff..Nintendo DS has a few games that help in keeping the brain running smoother..and less forgetfulness I need a few of those games..lol

umm.. i dont know.. whether i should agree to this or not.. solving puzzle helps or not.. maybe its just the process you follow in solving the problem that helps. you got to do it one step at a time.. i think that is all it takes. do it one step at a time and do it right.. or work on it until you have done it right and take the next step. that is all you need to do. preseverence is the key.

Yes, I do quite agree with this theory. Puzzles just have that kind of ability to develop and hone a person's skill and trying out different possibilities in their mind so as to be able to solve the problem or get that final picture. We are given the chance to develop different strategies/methods in solving a puzzle. Our life is like a puzzle, there are challenges, problems and 'unknowns' that we have to discover and unravel ourselves. We personally have to think of ways to solve them or at least make them better. That's just what I think anyway.^_^ Sudoku, Crosswords, and Jigsaws, I think those are the puzzles that both kids and kids at heart love.^_^
