The best way to defeat your enemy is to show kindness instead of antagonism. You can win over them by loving them.
You need to be courageous in order to do this. No one can withstand or resist the forces of kindness and love. When someone does you wrong, do not just refuse to return it with another wrong. Reurn it with kindness- even if he does not deserve it.
When you act in kindness, you are at once rewarded with feeling of overcoming. This feeling is reserved for those who can cast bread in response to a stone.

yea i agree with you, you can overcome your enemies by being kind to them, but once you are kind to them, some people realize their mistake and change, and others take advantage of your kindness, so i would say that it depends on every individual, if every criminal is this world is shown kindness and forgiven, some may change, but others would continue the same as he is being excused, i think, repeated mistakes should be taken seriously.
