Is it all about the money?

the money isn`t the important thing to me it`s having a good time and occassionally running into my good old friends now and again thats more important to me

Originally I was looking for some interesting discussions, but unfortunately it has been spoilt by all those money seeking, brainless posts (no offence intended to anyone) The boring posts that take little or no thought tend to be the ones that stay on the front page for everyone to answer.

for some it's all about the money and for others it's about conversation.

I agree that people come here to make money in the first place. I've been active on other forums and boards too, I generaly like it so I liked mylot a lot too. It's not like mylot is going to earn you a second income, it's just a very pleasent bonus which makes me post here more often than on other boards. However, I love the diversity of people who are active on mylot and the great variaty in topics. Those are my reasons to visit mylot :) I hope I've explained it well enough?

It is definitely not about the money for me as I am sure you have noticed from my discussions and responses to others. Even if I were to get the money from myLot into my account, I would still be in a minus as I have spent more money because of my being on this site. The money from my earnings on myLot will never reach my pockets. I do however like to see the amount go up every day because it will hopefully end up in the hands of a good charity and make someone elses day a little better.

i have to admit, i joined because i'm thrilled that mylot pays...but 1 day into it, i know im not gonna get rich here..but i cant leave then, cos im so addicted! so now, i would say that im in here because of the discussions (interesting discussion from a handful) and also all the nice friends that i've got to know here...and yeah..money is the bonus!

G'day Ausnikki Max here. long time no see. No I don't worry about the money I just enjoy having a chat to other members they are a pretty friendly lot don't you think? But you can't blame members living in third world countries being keen to make ten dollars after all that's pretty good money to them. I'm located 40 miles south west of Sydney in Australia where are you living?

yeah it seems to be, you always run accross the same discussions about mylot and how they pay and how much you made etc.. i guess that is what drove most people here in the first place.. im still yet to find some interesting discussions here.. there are some topics that are just never discussed on here.. lol

No, its not all about the money. I'm also here for interesting discussions and making new friends.

I think money is an incentive for me but I do enjoy some of the topics and have made some good friends here. I also like the nature of the site in the sense that its about discussions, arguments, debates and opinions (all in good fun of course) and not like Yahoo Answers (where I used to spend my spare time before joining this site) where its limited only to the question/answer format.

I feel the same way. At first it was about earning some money, then I really liked some of the discussion's, right now it is getting boring. Of course, not your discussion's lol.

I totally agree. Before being on here I was part of yahoo answers for about a year. Then one person had a posting about this and I tried it out and realized that it was the same thing only for a little extra bonus you get paid. So that is cool. I get to continue doing what I love to do, only I get a little something for doing it.

For me it's definately about the money, I am plannning a trip overseas with what I earn, so will have to work hard! lol

Well if you've been on here more than a day you'll soon realize that mylot doesn't pay much. So I hope your on here for the interesting discussions.

It appears that the money is alot. It also seems to have a lot of young people asking questions that I doubt an older person would ask. Have a good evening, and just enjoy meeting new people. The money is just a bonus.

I use it mainly to fill in my spare time at work (of which I usually have alot of) and it's great that I can get a little bit of money for it too :)
