I used to come and visit my sister when she lived far from me. To get there I had a ride on the tram line that went where she lived. Now we both live very near each other. We have buses and trains to go on here. There is something very special about trams. I have been on them during my travels overseas. Melbourne in Australia has a tram that goes from the city to the beach. Many European cities have trams like Budapest which goes to a park, Tallinn that goes on the edge of the old town and Lisbon with its steep hills.
Have you ever been on a tram?
Is there any kind of transport you miss going on?

Hi max, being a Melbourne boy, I'm pretty proud of the network of trams in Melbourne. They actually go far out into the suberbs. There are also free trams in the city, and a dining car that goes around the city at night. Where I'm housesitting at the moment has a small network of trams.

I miss the ones in Lisbon, regardless of where they used to take me. It was such a relaxing thing:)
I heard that it's not exactly the same thing anymore, which is a pity.
Funny thing is that although I found them relaxing, while I lived there I didn't specially appreciated them.

The views in lovely Lisbon are amazing. I people are really kind and friendly I found. I was there in 2007 when my son was 4 months old. The other passengers let babies and older people on first. I fondly remember some fantastic trips there on the excellent trams.

It is a shame that the trams in your home country aren't used anymore. Historical trams can look charming like the one in Adelaide in Australia that only has one route. I went to Christchurch in New Zealand and it has the oldest tram that I have been on.

In India we still have trams in the city of Kolkata. It is the "City of joy" as you would have heard. I love travelling in trams and so do my children. Even today when we go to hometown we travel by trams although they are not available to all destinations.

I imagine fellowing you.It was nice to travel by trams.I ever rode trams in Wienna but some trams alike subways, they are modern style. I never went to Australia.I think i will go to Melbourne next time.
