Best friend is the best person to share your problems, interest, feeling, anger, love stories etc. And in being too close one can learn from there what his/her friend's mistakes in their relationship with boyfriend/girlfriend. If suddenly it happen that your best friend's partner falls for you, would you engaged in possible intimate relationship with him/her? Would you sacrifice your friendship in the name of love or perhaps se.x?

No, no, and no. First off if your best friend is really your friend then they would be seen as family (in my opinion) and loved as such. You don't hurt someone you love. Secondly, if they're a true friend then they have tons and tons of dirt on you... would you really want to get then mad at you? It's not just current boy/girlfriends that are a no-no... you gotta stay away from exes too.
