Color vs. Black & White?

Now everyone has a preference when it comes to their body art. Although I have both colored and black and whites I have to say I prefer my black and white (as do my kids who like to color them in with washable marker any chance they get!) tattoos they seem to have aged better on me then the colored few. So who has what or both?

I think it all depends on your skin tone, and what the tatoo is of.
But for the most part, I think colored tattoos look better if there's a whole bnch of them together, like a sleeve or all over someone's back.
For one, standalone tattoo, I think black and white generally looks better.

skin tone is a biggy as it can be hard to see many colors on darker skin colors. I am obscenely pale so they do show well on my skin, a little too much actually, the black and white look cleaner on me.

I think that it depends on the individual getting it and the tattoo itself. Some people just look good with either black/white or color and sometimes just the piece itself looks better with or without color. I plan on getting some tattoos in the future (when I can actually afford them) and one thing I want to get is a raven on my shoulder blade. I don't know exactly how I will have it, but even if I do end up having the bird perch on a branch or anything I think that the piece would look much better in black and white. The colors of the tattoo help set the mood and I don't think that the mood of the tattoo would be right if I had a bunch of bright colors taking away the quietness of the piece. (If that makes sense)

I have extremely pale skin, so colored ink looks really good on me. Tattoo artists are always commenting on my skin and how it's the perfect skin to tattoo on! They say it makes their work look better! So I might as well take advantage of the fact that colored ink looks good on my skin! I have 5 tattoos... one is black and the other 4 are colored. Well, one of those 4 is mostly black with just a little bit of color.
