The best things in life are..FREE

Life - The best things in life are free. You can have love from your parents which people cannot buy. You can have the comfort that you have now. You can have the greatest feeling when you are with your loved ones.

Did you ever notice that the best things in life are free? I am so tired of all the whingers, the moaners and weenies who are always complaining abour how little money they have to spend. Are there people who do have enough? The last time I looked there were very wealthy people who still did not have enough to do all the things they wanted to do either. Personally I believe that we are all born to want more, a human condition not some òh poor me`club. If it turns out that, that is the case, please feel free to shoot me. I`d rather be dead. I honestly cannot take anymore of it. I wake up just before sunrise. I hear the birds waking up in the morning, chirping and heralding in the new day. Then the sun starts rising, it is really beautiful. When was the last time you saw that? I sit on my deck with a hot cup of freshly plunged coffee, the sun streaming down on me, with birds twittering around and there is the quiet of nature, not silence but the quiet of nature. It is really something quiet special. I appreciate this time in the morning, to count my blessing, if you like. I have a roof over my head, I have enough food to eat and my family members are safe and warm still in their beds. Who could ask for more than that? Keep posting. Happy Mylotting. Best regards,Jeff

Every friday on my blog I post a bunch of links to free things on my blog. Some of them are free samples of food or drink, some of them are coupons, some of them are services, and today I even posted a couple links to free online classes. I love the freebies!

YOu have tackled another situation but that helps also. Hehe. Thank you for showing interest in the discussion. I think there are more things that can make us happier which are free and I am actually talking about having our family, walking together near the ocean and spending sometime together having lunch in the park. Those are just examples. Keep posting. Happy mylotting. Have nice day. Best regards, Jeff

I believe that is one of the truest statements ever! The best things in life ARE really free - we just have to have our eyes open, to see them, and our ears open - to hear them. I was walking to the train station this morning and I remember thinking how grateful I was - for a new day, for the fact that I could walk, for the fact that my loved ones are doing well, for the fact that it wasn't raining (I'm not a big fan of wet weather!), for the fact that I have a job...the list goes on. I often find that when I 'count my blessings' like this, I find that I am in a good mood. Glad you brought this up, because I am now smiling :)

Thank you that you are even inspired to really smile because I made this discussion. But it is really true that the best things in life are free. We do not need money to see people laughing. We do not need money to see bird chirping. We do not need money to see flowers in the garden. We do not need money to see the mountain. We just need to appreciate all these. We are lucky enough to have all these things. Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy Mylotting. Jeff

Very true!! the best things in life are indeed free of cost we are just too blind to appreciate them. I used to live in a town when i was a kid and the area was surrounded with so much greenery and the environment was so peaceful! I still remember the golden days when me and my father used to woke up early morning to go and have a walk around the nearby area... The fresh air, the chirping of birds everything was so refreshing!! Now I have a content life but still I miss that life I had.. Sleeping late in the night is more a necessity now so getting up early is something that I cannot do... But the best times of my life now are when I am laughing out loud with my friends, hanging out with my best friend, talking endlessly with my cousin and simply sitting with my grand ma and telling her how was my day so far... So again it's the absolutely free things that make my life content and happy....

People are just really too blind to appreciate so many good things in life. I just remember today, I asked my friend to go out today to see the castle here in Thun. My friend gave me a reason that he do not have money to go there. I told him that we can walk and it is just two minutes walk. We do not even need any cents to pay for anything. We just need a camera, which I have and take some nice pictures around the castle and the rathaus. He told me, he better sleep because there is nothing to see there. For me, being able to appreciate our surroundings and our nature is already something that we can have for free and that is something we should always treasure. I really cannot understand how people think nowadays. Only they can do things when they have money while there are so many things that can be done without a pennny. Keep posting. Happy mylotting. Have a nice day. best regards, Jeff

Hi yuansplace...I totally agree with you. I cannot stand these people that are never satisfied with what they have. They are always wanting something new or better. They can't stand it if their neighbors get something and they don't have it and just walk around grumbling under their breath because they want to keep up with everybody and can't. I am with you, as long as my family and I have what we truely need to survive in this world today then we have all we need. I have told this same thing to my children numerous times and they still are always upset becasue they don't have everything their friends have. I have told them not to worry about it, but it falls on deaf ears. Maybe one of these days they will wake up and find out what it truely is to want something they need and can't have because they were not happy with what they had. flutterby

Thank you very much for giving a response. People are not satisfied with what they have nowadays. As long as we have the love from our family and all the blessings that we get everyday, being able to wake up in the morning, seeing your mother and father is already a gift. Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy mylotting. Best regards, Jeff

I think humans are programmed to want more and more and keep wanting. However, you're right, even thought there are times that we all inevitably fall into the "oh poor me" mantra, I really think that we should all try to improve ourselves in our thinking and start thinking "I am happy with what I have" mantra. Wouldn't you say that sounds a lot happier and more positive? Sometimes I think the reason that people get so involved with their own miseries might be due to the fact that nowadays, our society is so busy being concerned about money, materialism goods, and what they have and what they don't have. I understand the concept that people always say you need money in order to feed your family and I agree; however, I would like to add on and say that money is fine but if you don't have a have those love ones, then what is the purpose of money? So basically, we all need to remember the purpose of why we're working for money and not lose focus and become consume by wanting more and more. If our family is fed and healthy and happy. What more do you need right? I see that you are satisfied in life yuansplace! and I'm very happy for you because some people just don't see the good in their life even if it's right in front of them!

Indeed. Humans really do have that kind of attitude that they want something more and more and it never stops from there. When you get something that you want, you advanced you and want something more. It is like trying something out of nowhere. We really have to be happy with what we have right now because there are a lot of people who does not have their own home and does not have peace of mind. Thank you for the comment. Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy Mylotting. Best regards, Jeff

You are so right. I think that someone should take away those things from people then give it back so everyone would learn to appreciate them. This way those things are just self-evident and they don't get enough respect from people. When sun shines, I like to go out to drink my morning coffee and listen to nature. Just like at the song of Bob Marley and it goes somehow like this: "Rise up this morning, smiled with the rising sun, three little birds, pitch by my doorsteps, singing sweet songs of melodies pure and truth, saying this is my message to you: singing dont worry bout a thing, cause every little thing, is gonna be allright" I like that song a lot because it reminds me of these free best things in life and makes me feel good. PS: Song is three little birds and i recommend you to listen that if you haven't. (I bet you have!)
