Earning in stock market.

Some people say that stock market is a very good source of income. I do know about charting softwares where historical data and graph for a particular stock is displayed. With this data is it possible to somehow "predict" the movement of stock price (although it can not be perfectly and accurately predicted). Are there any good systems or formula that will work on this historical data, that will make your decision making better in buying or selling stocks.

my friend has said about a site that pays you $0.33 for an investment of $0.01 , that too within 24 hours !!!

Really? That's a huge ROI. But, remember, that's too good to be true! There's no such thing you earn more than what you have invested. (especially with in a 24 hour period)
