If the govenment is really serious about the dissemination of education, why not use the most accessible media to all? I am talking about Television. Why not produce more educational programs covering all academic sujects and their topics? Air it in major television stations. Put up several televisions in each barangays ang puroks. Make the topics episodical. And in each barangay, the local government hire people to monitor the exposure of the children. This, I think, will increase the literacy and educational development of the country. What is your take to this problem? Want to comment about my suggestion?

research has shown that when a person watches TV their brains stop functioning in higher order thinking processes that are needed for learning. There was a big push for TV to be used in education when they first became popular and it did not work. There are very few people who can actually learn and retain what they learned just by watching and hearing. Many people need a combination of many different teaching techniques before the knowledge actually sticks.
