By thick skin person I mean is a person who doesn't know shameful. Here is the situation. Let say, at first you have a friend, you have a good relationship with him/ her, and then suddenly that person back stab you, and now that persson act as if nothing happen. In fact, they shamelessly ask you for help with a tone like she / he is the boss of you, act like smart, but ........ what will you do to that person? Sometimes I do encouraged thick skin, in some situations in dire needs, in emergency, but isn't supposed we human know how basic courteous, know how to forgive and ask forgiveness. I detest the kind of person of has thick skin unproperly.

Hi Ucue. I have a tender heart, rather than a thick skin. I do believe we forgive and ask forgiveness as needed, but there is no need to hurt or betray anyone. I'm sorry you went through that. True friends would not behave in such a way. Karen

Thank you for responding. But for some people they feel the need to hurt and betray other so that feel good for themselves. It hard. I do agree with you that we do not need to hurt or betray anyone.

I think that if someone has to hurt another to feel good about him/herself, then professional help is needed.

Hi, ucue! While I'm a fairly serene person, I do have a thin skin. I'm quite easily hurt by others. I just do my best to avoid people who would do that.

Well, I am not that kind of person. I am very thin-skinned in that way. BTW If I have a friend who has BS-ed me, I would never trust them again. I would just cut relations.
