What do you think about telemarketers? Are they totally annoying? Or are they just a person doing their job? Do you think it is ok to yell at them or slam the phone down? Or to play games with them? Are they not human just like you? Especially in this bad economy, a lot of people are doing what they have to do just to get by. What if the telemarketer is polite, brief & if you say you are not interested they simply say thank you & hang up? Then is this acceptable? I know most telemarketers are in large rooms that are trained for the hard sell & will keep badgering you long after you tell them you do not want their services. Here in America, there is a National Do Not Call List & you can opt to place your number on the list & you will not get telemarketing calls. I think this is a very good idea & if you do not want to get calls, you should use this service, have an unlisted phone number & not give out your number when you enter contests.

Somehow I manage to get calls anyway. Yes they're just doing their job, but far as I'm concerned, once you say no and they start arguing with you, anything goes. Myself, I usually just hang up, but I know people who put the phone down and walk away and people who play games with them too. Got this charity that keeps calling. Last year they wanted $25. I told them I'd send 10. She kept pushing for $25. Said it was the minimum. I'm like wtf, a minimum charitable donation? So when she said $25 again, I said I'd see what I could do and then I sent $10. This year they keep calling, saying I promised $25 and only sent $10, so how about if I send the other $15. I just hang up on these guys now.

Telemarketers may be humans like the rest of us with jobs to do, but I am not going to sympathize with people who call me on MY phone, in MY home, on MY time, and interrupt MY life!!!!! Sometimes these idiots even call my freaking cellphone, and those are calls that I have to pay for. Not good at all. I don't have time for them no matter how polite they are. If I want something, I'll look for it myself.

Telemarketers are person who's doing their jobs to sell. Usually they recieved fraud calls from people who just want make fun and games or others slam the phone. Yes they were trained alot but they were still human and yes its true some are polite and brief coz there's rules from the company that telemarketers need to follow. Thats good in America that they have National Do Not Call list and you can option to place your numbers.

I completely dislike it when I get called by these types of people. I normally just hang up on them. It make's life so much easier when you just hang up on them.

But when i find out your name and info and call to speak to like i know you from a long long time ago. Then also remember to ask if you got a minute? Then ask when would be best to quickly show you one of the new and improve (item) that has been creating (such) benifits from. How would you feel... be honest?
