I was still very young when the EDSA revolution happened. When late Pres. Aquino became the president, I was still so young to be interested with politics. But when I get older and by the time I got interested on what is happening in my country, she was always visible when the country faces difficulty even when she is no longer the president. During her lifetime, she had shown that she is a human being, not a holy saint. She had both good and bad side. She doesn't have a perfect family. Her daughter Kris Aquino, is not a perfect person. Her son Noynoy is not a perfect politician... however, despite the imperfections, the family tried to cope up. I like them for they don't pretend to be always good... especially her daughter, Kris. But my memory of late President Cory Aquino centered more on her faith... Being a prayerful person is how I would see her forever. She will always be a strong woman who defeated the martial law... I thank God for sending her to continuously remind the Filipino people on the goodness of Democracy.

I think I am in studying in grade schools when Edsa revolution happen and I heard of her names on television, radios, leading newspapers and through the word of mouth. The pictures of people offering peace flower to full battle suit soldiers in tanks is a amazing sigh to behold...The Philippines government during those times was critize for mass corruption and dishonest officials. The uprising of People Power arose after ex. President Corazon C. Aquino husband Benigno Aquino Sr. was killed at Tarmac airport. I deeply sympathize with the family in mourning. The "Edsa Rose" have deeply contributed for spreading voice of ordinary citizens to fight for Freedom peacefully without advocating violence. She serve as inspiration for other countries struggling for the abolish of dictatorship of their wicked officials. Surely she is a great icon and many would revere her for her insinuate freedom coupled with people unity and best bastion of the faithful gathering fighting for a mission to establish a honest, dedicated and responsible government based on trust, faith, honesty and loyalty..

"Edsa Rose"... that is a nice one. I hope I am old enough to remember it. However, I often see replays of some scenes of that incidents nowadays. It was just too sad that Ms. Cory Aquino is no longer alive to see how we greatly thank her. I hope she knew in her heart that the Filipinos are thankful for her presence.
