Do you hate it when they quit making a flavor that you really liked?

Oreo cookies are constantly coming out with new "limited edition" flavors. It really bugs me when I like a certain flavor & then can't get it any more. So far this year I've tried Strawberry Milkshake & something to do with banana & I didn't care for either of these. The other day I bought a package of Fudge Sundae Creme Oreos. They are really good! I guess if I want to keep enjoying them, I'll need to stock up! Do you hate it when they quit making a flavor that you really liked?

Yes I know it really sucks when you can't get that flavor you like so much. I love the candy from cadbury and I just can't stand the fact that those little eggs only come out on ester after ester they are all gone and they wont come back until next ester. Some I found this other candy from cadbury called carammello I hope they don't start taking that away, but if they do then I guest I will just have to find something else to for my sweet tooth.

I actually have a Cadbury egg here left over from Easter! You can't keep them too long or they crystallize. I think they were selling them for another holiday also. It seems like it was around Halloween last year. The Carmello bars have been around for years, so I hope they don't take them away! They are one of my husband's favorites. He doesn't eat too many sweets, but caramel is one of his favorites.

When I suspect that something is only for a limited time only, I will avoid it like the plague. I am not interested in getting hooked on something, only to have it taken away from me. I like the old traditional standbys that are always going to be there when I have a sudden craving. Of course, there's also the issue of stuff available in Canada, not in the USA, and vice versa. Remember me and my Coffee Crisp bars? Next time I'm travelling thorugh MI, I'll have to bring you some Canadian chocolate bars that'll make you even more anxious to come up here and join me.

Those Coffee Crisp bars are good! I did see them in a vending machine once here at the hospital. I've never seen them in a store here though.

Yup, it just sucks! I loved the banana flavor of fruit tella candy and I was looking everywhere for it only to find out that they have stopped making them. I was really frustrated that time, I don't know why they stopped, was I the only one who buys them? hehe

With me it isn't so much flavors, as it is scents. I love the smell of vanilla and have had to change my body wash a couple of times because they don't make the kind I use. The same with hand soap. It seems I find something that I like and use it for a while, and then it is gone. I used a couple of Suave shampoos that I knew were limited editin, and then just recently noticed that one of them is out again. Wonder if people asked for it? That might be the thing to do for the ones that you really liked. Write to the manufacuter and tell them how much you liked them, and they might decide to keep making them,

I hate it!! Oreos had 2 limited edition flavors that I liked. Mint and coffee. I was so mad when they stopped making them. The limited edition flavors for any product always seem to be better than the original, so why do they stop making them at all?? Argg!

I think the manufacturers do this to test what flavors will sell and what won't. If they get a big enough response to a certain flavor they will continue to make it until it stops selling. You can always write to the company and express your opinions. What I hate is when my favorite lipstick color is discontinued!!

To be honest I've never tried the other flavors. But I did want to try the mint ones. And I didn't realize they were making limited edition flavors. Perhaps to test out how certain flavors sell? & then consider adding it to the regular product line up? Though cookies like many other things are fighting for shelf space at the stores so perhpas that's part of the reasoning behind it?

I do hate it when they do that. I actually tried a peppermint flavor around Christmas that was a lot better than I thought it would be and they don't make them anymore. I try to avoid limited time flavors. My favoritecookies were Grandmas lemon cheesecake and they discontinued those. I went through withdrawels for a couple of weeks. I still look for them sometimes when we stop at stores when we go out of town..lol..Take care.
