Can you tell the differnce between jesus and Horus? Jesus was the Light of the World. Horus was the Light of the World. Jesus said he was the way, the truth and the life. Horus said he was the truth, the life. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the ‘house of bread’. Horus was born in Annu, the ‘place of bread’. Jesus was the Good Shepherd. Horus was the Good Shepherd. Seven fishers board a boat with Jesus. Seven people board a boat with Horus. Jesus was the lamb. Horus was the lamb. Jesus is identified with a cross. Horus is identified with a cross. Jesus was baptised at 30. Horus was baptised at 30. Jesus was the child of a virgin, Mary. Horus was the child of a virgin, Isis. The birth of Jesus was marked by a star. The birth of Horus was marked by a star. Jesus was the child teacher in the temple. Horus was the child teacher in the temple. Jesus had 12 disciples. Horus had 12 followers. Jesus was the Morning Star. Horus was the Morning Star. Jesus was the Christ. Horus was the Krst. Jesus was tempted on a mountain by Satan. Horus was tempted on a mountain by Set.

It appears that you get alot of your discussion ideas from the internet. Not sure if you believe what you are asking, but certainly, if you continued to read the information on the internet, you would know the differences: Horus is a myth, and not human; Jesus was both human and divine; Horus was not crucified because the type of crucifixion that Jesus endured did not exist in ancient Egypt. No where does it state that Horus had 12 disciples; He may have had followers, but no where does it state that he had 12 disciples. Jesus' 12 disciples matched the number of the tribes of Israel. I can go on, but it's best to state all of the internets information, and not just what you want to feed and mislead people with.

I thought or at least hoped to spur more debate than I did. Here's the thing, as these suposed similarities are always being brought up, I was hoping for some people top come up with some rebuttals. You did come up with a few. Can you name any other differences? Oh and the twelve followers would be the twelve constellations with Horus as the Sun.

I debated this very subject here on mylot almost two years ago about the similarities of Osirus, Horus and Mithras and the only reference that some other people could come up with was a book that was written but when you dug into the book and its references it fell apart, nowhere in the books references of older text was anything even remotely similar with the things that were being stretched out in comparison. If you have any new information I would gladly take a look at it but if its the same info that "fightingistheonlyway" and "gnosisquest" had there isn't anything that goes from point A to point B other than the imagination of some writers to make money.
