Tattoo for others,is one way to express their artistic side. For some, tattoos are part of their tradition.Though, tattoos seems not to be accepted by everyone. For some, tattoos just changes the image of the person..for example, while you're wlaking downtown you saw a man with tattoos on almost every part of his body, how would you react??Exactly, you might think that the person is a gang member or a weird person or the very obvious one he seems dirty. In some countries, having tattoos in their body is an honor for them,It's a sign that you're already grown man or woman. In those tribes, everyone respects those with tattoos and sees them as a true leader.Tattoos for them is a symbol of true leadership and readiness to face what lies ahead in their future. So,how do you see people with tattoos??Do you find them weird in a way??O r are you one of those who sees tattoo as an expression of ones artistic side??Do you accept these body art??

I don't mind a man with a few tattoo's .As for women if they have them on there arms ,neck anywhere, they are exposed to the public gross.Maybe I am wrong to think different of a women who have tattoo's ,I just wonder why they would ruin there bodies with such stuff,it changes my opinion of them right away.I also think how sorry they will be once they are old and wrinkled up.

No believe it or not ,I have found that many men with lots of tats. are the gentlest creatures you would ever meet.I have no prejudice against personal choices.I just don't care for them ,This is my lot is for opinions not prejudices.Maybe I should have said ,I would never do it.To make you feel better. But please refrain from judging me in the future, till you see more of my responses.

I'm proud of my tattoos, and when they're wrinkled pictures, my grandkids can have fun stretching my skin out to see them lol. I have tattoos on my arms, forearms, back of my arm, wrist, back, and chest. I don't try to hide them. I think you should get to know someone before you close your mind to them just because they have tattoos. That is being predjudiced and judgemental. But hey, I guess what you think, is what you think.

Hi, Azaerus! I don' t have any tattos on my body. And I never will get one. For the ones that have it all over their body, I feel for them. I just hope that it will be no long term after effects that will cause problems down the line. I know my sister-in-law had a tattoo and it made her act as if she was trying to get attention. And that is a turn off in my eyes. If a person gets a tattoo, then that is their choice, but as for me, I am leaving my skin clear free!

Hello there too cream97.. Well first of all,I agree with him that the tattoo doesn't have any effect at all on the way a person acts or thinks..maybe your sis-in-law is just like that and she loves attention, that's why when she got a tattoo she's trying to get everyones attention by acting or doing stuff or showing everybody her new tattoo.. About that effects that you are saying, yes I agree that sometimes you can catch some illness because of having too many tattoos in your body..but sometimes this illness are because of the unsterile materials that are being used in the tattoo process itself.. Well,I guess for you,you wanted to keep your skin clean..and I'd say for this you also respect your body in your own way.. Thanks for responding..:)

If a person chooses to get a tatto then that is their choice. But as for me, I prefer to not have one at all. I don't condone anyone that gets one. I feel that my sister-in-law was trying to be more than what she was, that is why I said that... I was only talking about her not anyone else. As for others, it may or may not change a persons image. It just all depends on the person. I was not talking about you, only about one person, which is my sil. Please don't get offended. My statement was not meant for you or anyone else that has a tatto. Just only about my sister-in-law... So relax..

Hello there bamboo.. I agree with you that the mentioned sister-in-law might be having some kind of a psychological problems..or maybe she's the type of person who wants to be the center of attraction all the time.. Oh boy!!you fell asleep while getting tattoos??you are one brave man..hehe..I can't imagine how you fell asleep with all that pain.. I can see that you're an artistic person and that you have chosen to express your artistic side by means of tattoos..and I think you really are brave.. Thanks for responding..:)

I think it is true. One of the moms @ school seemed like an upstanding professional person, only to see her dressed down w/ a huge tat on her leg. It kinda put her down a level I guess you could say in a way, made her more like a regular person rather than a stiff professional person. i think atleast here it kinda brings peoples impression of you down a level or more depending on what you have done and how big. Though you are also right it's an expression of ones self as well. I also think it's more acceptable for a man to have tat's as well. Makes a guy look tougher more macho, intimidaitng, dangerous, even sexy. A girl depending on what it is, it's either small and tactful or trashy. I told hubby I'd love a tat on the back of my hips the one that goes across your lower back.... he goes oh a "tramp stamp" so would that mean I'm a tramp? THough I'm married and have several kids....

Good point you opened up there,I guess it is true that it is more accepted for a man to have tatts tham for a woman.I guess when guys have tatts, most thing that happens is their image view becomes tougher or dangerous but if a woman have tatts most impressions are tramp or something that puts them down. Though I'm not saying that this is what I think about women and tatts, this is just what I noticed people tend to react when they see a woman with tatts. I like tatts because of it's artistic uniqueness.I also admire the courage of those ones who have tatts, just imagine the pain they have to go through when they're still in the process of getting their tatts...OUCH!

Tattoo isn't totally ugly,it all depends on the person who has it.That's the problem sometimes, people misjudge others by the way they express themselves.

I believe when a person has a tattoo (or tattoos), they are trying to say something. I think it's beautiful because it's sorta an expression of your freedom of speech. I admire all concepts of art and tattoos are more than just talking to others, it's like a connection to things that have meaning to you as well. I can respect others for this, especially through cultural aspects. I like to think that every culture has their own flare, right???...this is just our version of this particular flare.

Yes,indeed all culture have differences in them, some require tattoos on them and some don't...anyways,some culture that have many tatts on their body are so unique with their arts that it draws most peoples attention because of how it looks like..

it all dpends on sort of tattoes and how they are exhibhited..modern tattooe work leave an impression of punky and a prankster in ma country..and the traditional ones of having gods leave an impression of country men and having his gf's name on chest or hand leave an impression that he s too much in love..

I see what you mean, tattoos are judged based on how the person express his or her artistic side..as I've mentioned in my earlier responds, people have different perceptions whenever they see another people with tattoos on their body..

I think it really depends upon the type of tattoos on the person, if its scary then maybe I'll be scared but if its a simple cute tattoo, I think it will just be alright. If the tattoo is done for art's sake or for a tribal thing I don't think it affects us much. some tattoos do change our perception of the person whether it is for good or for bad as I said depends on the type of tattoo that is placed on the body of the person in question

Tattooing is an art, but too much I do not like the tattoo. Some people are full-body tattoo, I do not like very much, but the tattoo is a very small number of people like.

Same with body piercing I don't like if it would be done too much. I mean, wrapping almost all of the body..I like a little but not to the extent that being shown publicly. I like maybe if it is painted just a little but not barely exposed...

It is in the eyes of the beholders. I don't see anything weird with people who have tattoo (I have some too, :-p). Normally it symbolizes something meaningful in their life. What's more, it is their body, not ours. Having a tattoo or more will not make you a bad person, a gang member or mafia, it is just as a sign to express yourself. In my state, old men who has tattoo means that they were a warrior way back. Certain tattoo shows how many enemies you have killed. It's kind of tribal and only certain people will understand the meaning. No, I have nothing against people with tattoo. I know some people with smirk when they see one, but I don't.

Some people have very meaningful thoughts with their tattoos. Some of them have a tattoo of their loved one or their relative. It's really nice to know some people are so devoted to their loved ones that they even have them tattoed on their body. This only means people are so artistic too with their emotions in many different ways.

Tattoos might change other people's perception of a person, but it doesn't change the person themselves. Tattoos are a way for people to let their innerselves show through. I love people with tattoos, the more the better. I feel more comfortable around them. They're more real, they aren't trying to hide who they are, because you can see them right their on their sleeve, tattoo sleeve that is. I always stare at people who are covered in tatts, not out of rudeness, but out of jealousy! lol I don't have so many tatts yet, but I also love the art. I think I get looked at as a weird person for the ones I do have though, but most people always as to see them or comment kindly on them. I LOOOOOVE tattoos. Can't get enough.

YOu really do love tatts huh??well I guess you have to get more tatts then for you to not get jealous whenever you people who have more tatts than you do..hehe..I also admire people with tatts..I find them very brave and artistic..as I've mentioned with my other responds..I can't imagine howmuch pain you canundure during the process of getting the tattoos..I have my artistic side too..but I don't have tatts though I have body piercing..I have three on my left ear,one on my right and one on my navel..my girlfriend have navel ring too..we find it very cool and nice way to express ourselves..although I'm beginning to think if I'm going to have tatts too..like what you've said it might be something fun for my grandkids in the future..hehe

Hi well firstly I have 2 small tattoos, but I can see what you are saying in your post! I guess I am lucky I have a few relatives (Uncles etc) who have lots of tattoos from work with the defence industry and I obviously know them to be fantastic people:) So to me it is a shock. Everyone is different and we shouldn't judge but it is just to easy to judge on a quick look at someone and more often than not we are totally wrong about the person:) What do you think about tattoos??

Well tattoos are okay for me..I have accepted it that for some having tattoos on their body is one way to show their artistic side..I'm not against people who have tattoos..I just can't imagine how painful it is when you're still undergoing the the tattoo process.. I think everyone do have different perceptions about tattoos or arts.We just have to deal with the truth that most of the people are so judge mental and can't live without being curious about stuff..

True. Since the beginning of when tattoos were created, people use to look at them as freaks. That they belong in a side show circus because they don't fit in what the world perceive normal should be. There will always be a bad stigma about tattoos and that will never changed and that's a shame, because were all humans and deserve the same amount of respect.

Tattoos do not bother me. My husband has two of them and I am getting two in September for other reasons that people are not familiar with. It is related to cancer and reconstruction surgery. If people want them, it is their individual freedom to do so.

It would depend the person and why kind of tattoo the person has. Or how many they have. To much can be way to many.

I think tattoo does changes people's image. Society had set the mindset of anyone who has tattoo aren't good people. But the fact that tattoo is just a matter of art is no longer acceptable for certain people. Society stated that tattoos are for gangsters and the bad ones and always encouraging their young ones to stay away from those people and not to have any tattoos too. But in certain culture, tattoo remains as an art and also symbolic representation,as it is unique and wonderfully designed.

I see tattoo as body art and an expression of one's artistic self.I don't know why some people make a big deal of it or think it is weird.I don't judge a person because of his tattoos.I don't assume that the person who has tattoos came from jail.I actually want to have a tattoo on my lower left leg,a bit above the ankles.the tattoo will cover a scar.

I think tatoos are taboo much like alot of body piercing seems to be. I think alot of body modification draw attention and sometimes changes how someone views other. I do not think it should but it does.
