The biggest fish I ever caught was a local fish known as espada (meaning also sword in my language). It is quite popular fish in my island and not that rare to be seen being caught. But anyway, it was 3 meters long...

3 meters long, it is very long. We don't have so many place to fish. I caught fish in size of my palm, it is the biggest fish I've ever caught, I don't even remember its name.

The largest (weight wise ) freshwater fish that I have ever caught was a 8&1/2 pound large mouth bass but the largest saltwater fish that I have caught was a striped bass that was almost 40 inches long.
I used to go fishing for aquarium sized fish but could not catch anything small enough to put in the tanks.
