Operating system

My main machine is Windows Vista 64bit. My little laptop is on Linux. I also got a Macbook. The server on our family home is Windows 2008 Server Enterprise. (Note, I work with comps for my living)

i m using currently windows xp . this is very useful for me in many purposes . 3 months before i m using vista . That OS is not support my bluetooth own application . so i changed my OS to windows xp . Now that application is supported by xp

I'm currently using Windows 7 RC and Windows XP 64 bit(Dual boot).Also have a Xp 32 bit installed in VirtualPC commonly accessible from both the OS. Earlier my pc used to have 3 OS- Vista , XP-64 and Ubuntu(installed within XP) but after that i removed Vista and Ubuntu and installed Windows 7 in my system. It is a great OS with loads of features but it still have few minor bugs. Hope this will be removed when its final version would get launched.

Im using Windows Vista and i think its great, except the fact that its slow, I have used Many distributions of Linux, ive tried a OS called MenuetOS its written in assembly and the Russian version called KolibriOS, if your a programmer like me check them out.

I used Vista for sometime and got fed up and switched back to good old XP.

Hey, At the moment I am using Windows Vista, and the only other operating system that I have used for a few years is Windows XP. I haven't tried Linux or OS X, but I wouldn't mind though. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I use Window XP at home. At work they have Linux installed. I guess they are both pretty good but the majority of computers here have either Windows XP or Vista installed when you buy them. I think that a lot of people don't even realize the choice of operating systems that there are.

Personally, I hate using Windows Vista, any version. I think all of the programs on Vista are just exact copies of the Windows XP. All the 2008 and 2009 did from the 2003 version, was change the interface, something easily done by a person with little programming experience. I however, am still using Windows Vista. Why? Well, because all or most of the programs that I have are for Windows Vista only. Anyone who is a computer buyer knows how much the Windows software costs. I'm not going to go out and spend and extra $199 because I don't like the platform. That being said, I have used basically every platform known on a commercial level. Windows Vista, Windows Vista Premium, Windows Vista Business Version Windows XP, Windows Xp Home Premium, Windows XP Business Version Linux Classic Mac(the old old old Mac, when they called it the Macintosh) The newer Mac versions I'm sorry I had to vent in your discussion, hoped I helped.
