In India ladies put kajal, a black paste which is good for eyes, to lower eye edge which is supposed to be good for eyes. In our house my sisters used to prepare it with castoroil and other material at home itself. Do ladies put any such thing in your country? What is it called?

I used to put kaJal before but now I feel too lazy to put it. My mother used to put it for me when i was a kid. But now i only put such things while going in a marriage. I too have heard from my grand ma and mama that it is good for eyes and makes eyes big which is a good symbol of beauty. Big eyes are a sign of beauty as my mom says but I dont like big eyes, I love those small eyes , one like Ayesha Takia's. I love her eyes.

I too apply kajal in the eyes which i prepare by using certain herbs and castor oil/pure butter. Castor oil/ Butter also i prepare at home for the kajal b/c if the butter we get from the market is adulterated or old stock, our eyes will start burning. Rightly prepared kajals are not only good for the eyes but also it removes dirt and the reddishness from the eyes and gives cooling effect to them.
