I hate this a lot...i think that is a big problem for me...i can t look when somebody make a injection, i prefear to take a lot of medicines, but i refuse to make a injection, i hate this so much. I am a mature person, and i have a lot of couragge, but i am like a kid when doctor or nurse come with injection. I try a lot to learn to make injection, for somebody who need my help in the day and in the night too, but i can t. They give me a new kind of injection, with who i can deal, i just put on the skin and injection make itself. I remember when i were student, all time i run when we must to make some injections. you? what you feel?

nostalgic. me too. during the third grade, there were doctors and nurses who visited our classroom to give some vaccine through injection. it was kinda surprise to all of the students hence you see different reactions. some were fine, others were afraid. i was shocked. so when i saw the nurse coming towards me, i ran to the window thinking i can jump there to escape, hoping that they will not be able to give me the injection. but the teacher was there hence i was caught and injected with the vaccine. am sure you can imagine how pale i was that time. well, nothing much happened after. i just had a slight fever. well now it is different. am still afraid of injections. am very sensitive to pain. but i try to be brave. i will just not look at the needle. and pray very hard it gets finished very soon. happy mylotting, ann

i don't like getting injections but i really do not have a problem with it either. there are worse things in my opinion. i just do not look and it is over in minute anyway. i think if you tense up you make it worse. when i was pregnant with my son i had gestational diabetes and eventually i had to self inject insulin. at first i was terrified and did not know how i was going to do it but i had no choice. anyway it was not anywhere near as bad as i thought because the needles are so fine and you do not even feel it.

Hi, ohh I am very afraid of injections and everytime I need one I start crying. My dentist is very patient with me as it takes some time for him to be able to insert the injection as I either move or tell him to wait while I close my eyes. I don;t watch when someone else is being injected either. I'm not good at these thing neither when I see blood or hear the word hospital. Last time my bf had an asthma attack and he said he will go to hospital I fainted, I'm not much of help in these situations.

ey...I can really relate to this discussion..hahahaha Once i got pricked by a syringe needle while at work..i need to get some anti tetanus shots. these tetanus shot needs to be skin tested intradermally to determine if there are reactions to the live vaccine and it was only to be injected at morning. it took me a few days to remember the ampule I placed on our ref. one morning, i got home very tired from work and no one is at home. I got home from a graveyard shift and i saw the syringe and the vaccine at our ref. i immediately withdrew the vaccine and i self injected it at my deltoid area...it was kinda painful because the vaccine is quite heavy to the muscle. after injecting myself, i threw the syringe and went to sleep...the next day, i remembered that i did not do some skin tests of the vaccine... the possible thing that can happen to me if i was allergic/sensitive to the vaccine is that Im going to get into shock)...

I used to be afraid of injections, but as I got older, I realized first hand that there are bigger things to be afraid of in life, and I've overcome bigger fears since, so there is now nothing to worry about, whenever I have to go to the doctors to get an injection.

I love injections- both giving and taking. The prick-pain is unbearable only for a split-second. It was only in my love for injections that I wanted to become a doctor( funny isn't it?) but as if to satisfy this wish of mine once I was taught how to administer an intra-muscular injection by my family physician and I had the chance to give an anti-allergen shot to my wife. I was once admitted to hospital- a quarantine one at that and administered two-hourly shots of I believe, penicillin, on a differential diagnosis of diphtheria. It is a different thing that I was discharged soon as the nasal swab test answered negative.

i'm not afraid of injections at all although it really makes some pains . Last week i took my five months old son to have some injectons . He stared at the doctor . The moment the doctor injected him he made no reaction . i had thought that he was afraid at all . But a minute later he began to cry loud . Oh kids are afraid of injections !

yah if its not important,im gonna reject the injection but its still manageable for me, hurts a little but it would be gone later. for me it hurts when the needle reaches inside your skin and muscle. ouch. one must be brave, its just a needle and think of it as an ant bite and it wont last long. hehehe.

I am very much afraid of the needle. I shriek and run off even If I see a needle from far. But on the other hand, I have been strong enough to get a blood test done when I had gone to get my blood sugar checked. That was the only time I was brave to face the needle.

I think the anticipation of seeing the needle getting closer to my skin is what bothers me the most. I don't mind seeing the blood being drawn, in fact, I'd rather see what is going on. I got used to giving injections because my mom is a diabetic since she used to get tired doing it in the same spot I would do it in her arms. She used to do 3 times a day.

I have always hated shots because you are so sore afterwards. sometimes the needles are intimidating to me too so i always have to look away AND shutmy eyes.

Hi icesmile, I can't imagine anyone liking injections but I am not afraid of them but would certainly not watch them going in. I am so frightened of the dentist that I ask him to give me an injection just for a check up as I prefer the area to be totally numb before he starts probing around in there. Generally for adults an injection is for something necessary and if it is to help with pain I would prefer the injection rather than the pain.

I don't like to be punctured by any sharp objects. I was injected by my classmate for return demonstration and started to faint. Administrating Injection to other people is not a problem , I can do it easily and confidently. I was trained to do that.

I was afraid of being vaccinated too.. however, when I was carrying my little baby, I had a lot of this injection thing to withdraw blood, for some immunization and etc.. I still won't look when the needles being injected, but I am no longer afraid of it anymore.. strange is, when I go for blood donation, I have no problem with it..
