Quality Control

China

An old woman was meticulously examining rice bowls one by one before she bought them in a market in China. Yes, most of us Chinese people will do so. Someone told me in western countries most foreigners do not examine items so carefully because quality is never a really big problem when shopping back home. If there is a problem it is very easily resolved with a refund or exchange whereas in China it can be a bit more complicated and almost impossible to get a refund after you have made a purchase.

Well yes, here in India too, it’s a big problem to get a refund if you are not satisfied with the quality of the purchased item. Most shopkeepers will say that its not their responsibility to ensure the quality of the items they are selling, it’s the manufacturers liability and then if you want, you can lodge your compliant with the consumer forum…but that’s a lengthy procedure.

Thanks for sharing. :-) I think there are a lot of common things in India and China.
