Do you think conserving enery is a good think?

Hi All, I was thinking how much are we benefiting from saving energy because I think the less we use is the more we are charge. I think when we use less energy the utility companies make less money and because most of them are private they will have to increase the price so that they can pay their investors. What do you think?
