How Solid is Your Medical Health Care Plan?

One of the biggest problems that people have with health insurance companies is there ability to deny insurance coverage to person with a past history of health problems. Denial or acceptance is based on “medical underwriting”. Outside of employer-based health care plans, matters are even worse. Americans seeking insurance in the individual market must submit to "medical underwriting," and if they have a pre-existing condition, they will likely be denied. Kaiser Permanente Chairman and CEO George Halverson says frankly: "I could not get insurance. I've had heart surgery, and so I am completely uninsurable in the private market. So it's important that I keep my job." http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/sickaroundamerica/view/#morelink

My plan is solid. I have a cover for many diseases for me and my family. Its a must for me as my dependents are not so young. I have to take care of their medical expenses.

Well, I was lucky that my medical health care plan this year covers all my pre-existing condition that I have, before I got this medical insurance. This medical health plan was also paid by my employer, and to cover the pre-existing condition was in the contract when my employer signed and paid the health insurance company. So it's really a big help for me when I go to doctors and hospital for check up and medical procedures, like ultrasound, mammogram, etc, coz it's really expensive to go to doctors and have a medical procedure done.
