For what reasons did YOU sign up for a twitter account?

I signed up for a twitter account so that I can make quick posts to my blog without wasting an entire entry. I also created my account so I can alert my friends when I make a blog post, and link them to it. Do you have a twitter account? What reason did you sign up for?

I signed up only for commercial reasons For getting more exposure for my Best Net Biz blog, and for to tweet my affiliate page links. I'm a new user, I signed up in June but almost didn't touch it in July. Now I'm trying slowly to build it up. Wish a day had 48 hours!

I signed up for twitter so that I could easily post when I put up a new blog entry, because a lot of my twitter friends don't use blogger unless I link them. I also put a widgit on my blog so that when I update twitter, it shows on my page. It allows me to make quirky little entries on my blog, without actually wasting my time with creating a new entry!

I signed up for Twitter just because I like to be social. But within one month of signing up I realized the power of connecting with people on Twitter, while talking to a woman about my love for going a cruises and my small business of photography I ended up getting a job at a convention you is hosting on a cruise for people who work from home on the internet. So not only am I know going on another cruise, I will be making money and will be connecting with alot of people they could very well help take my photography business to the next level and possibly affording me the luxury of quitting my 9 to 5. I am addicted to twitter, I have it on my phone and feel like something is missing if I don't tweet numerous times a day

Yes, a lot of bloggers and reporters have been posting on twitter. Twitter is a form of microblogging. It's so interesting to me!

Yes! That's one of the reasons i signed up on twitter! Celebrities are big on that site. Well, some of them. I'm sure alyssa milano of charmed is. It makes you feel closer to them because you know these tweets are coming from them. It's like they tell you personally what's up with them. It gives you a glimpse of their world.

Its funny that you say that, because my friend is on the real world and I was just talking to a friend the other day about how many people follow him on twitter. It's totally taken over myspace!

I try not to be addicted to twitter, but it's so hard! As we speak, I am trying to log onto twitter, but for some reason the site isn't responding! OH NO! What am I going to do?!

I signed up for Twitter a long time ago just to check out what all the hype was about. I'm not a heavy user, but enjoy it when I do use and follow some interesting people. It's nice to have an outlet for my really small thoughts and it's also useful to be able to promote things via Twitter.

I agree completely! I put a wigit on my blog so that when I update twitter, it shows up on there. It's like I can make a blog post, but not waste an entry on such a small thought! I also like to post my blog entries to twitter because a lot of my twitter friends don't have a blogger account!

I registered with twitter as most of the members recommended it.But still I don't know anything about this site and I will be accept if I receive any follow requests and some time I used to receive mails as that some one is following me..I don't know exactly as why are they following me and why should we follow others..Even after accepting their request, I never did anything with them.I have to learn a lot in this site. It seems there are lot of earnings opportunities are there and also it seems that possibilities are there to get referrals for our programs.Beyond this , I don't know anything. But I will learn very soon.

Twitter is just a form of microblogging. If you like to blog, then you will probably like twitter.

When i first created my twitter account, it was basically for social networking. recently, when it gained popularity on the internet, i started using it to promote my online businesses or blogs given the immense traffic that you could produce from that site.

Same with me. Once I saw how many people used it, and how often, I decided to start making posts when I put up a new blog entry and such. I have gotten a bit more traffic since then!

I sugned up to follow people on twitter. I very rarely if ever actual "tweet" myself. What very first got me there? My favorite author, Chirstopher Moore, posted a blog on his page af all the tweets he had done in the past couple days. Well just say it was a very involved story involving pirates that he told over a couple of days using the 140 chracter tweets only. He does things like this often, and i always get a laugh out of them. I now follow a couple other people on twitter, including christopher moore and director Kevin smith, just because they post amusing anecdotes, links, and info on what they are currently working on.

I signed up so people can stay informed about my blog posts. The only problem is, I don't know exactly what to do with it or what programs/blog add-ons to use to benefit from it the most.

All you really have to do is put a widgit on your blog, so your bloggers can see your twitter posts. Ask your readers to follow you on twitter. If you use myspace or any other social networking sites, make sure you put a link up so your friends can add you on twitter. It seems like everyone has jumped on the twitter band wagon. I don't have many friends on twitter thus far, but I am just starting out.
