School Vs. Television, The Ultimate Question.

Okay so i was looking at the air Dates of a couple of my favorite television series. It interests me to find out why exactly they premier most shows just as soon as school starts for the year. Do they not understand that children would much rather watch their favorite television shows than do their homework? Do they wonder why kids are getting more over weight in the winter when they have to sit inside a class room all day and then when they get home they sit for hours in front of the television? It's not like parent's aren't to blame somewhat, i mean really they should not allow their children in front of the television for hours at a time either, but i honestly can't only blame the parents, especially when many kids are high strung, mix in the economy and how many people have to work their butts off all day, come home and don't feel like doing anything. It's not an ideal time to bring children into the world, but the truth is it happens. MOST children watch way more television than they should and it's not all the parents faults. If they put these kids favorite t.v. shows on in the summer at least they would get an equal amount of sitting and exercise, because in the summer many kids want to be out, they would be able to split their time better don't you think? I understand, they want to do it at the best time for people to watch, because many people are out and about or on vacation in the summer time but i mean if they want to see the shows that bad they will watch them in the summer time really.... I dunno sorry, this was kind of a rant and a thought sequence all at once, what do you think about this?

That is a good point!! First off, I haven't seen you for a while on here. Where have you been? I've seen you on Facebook, but not here. As for your question, if they had something like a DVR, it would not matter when the shows were on, they could watch them at their convenience. I think we can also do without a lot of the kid-targeted advertizing for all that expensive stuff, and junkfood.
