One thing I'm struggling to come to grips with here on mylot is the supreme arrogance of Indian men. What in the world is there about you that makes you think you are so far superior to women? I knew an Indian couple who had moved to the US. He was arrogant like this. She was a beautiful, intelligent woman, but he degraded her at every opportunity. It was terrible to watch, because she was so obviously the superior one of the two. He would go into black rages screaming at her and even beating her sometimes. He thought other men were looking at her, which he blamed her for, so he burned all of her American clothes. He was a total jerk. Finally, with my help I'm proud to say, she called the police and reported his abuse. He was taken to jail overnight. Even then he was spouting off to me that if she would bow to his feet he would forgive her. He tried all kinds of ridiculous tricks and slimy whining to get her to take him back, but I helped her stay strong, and she went through with the divorce. No woman needs to be treated this way. They are every bit as strong and intelligent as any man out there. Maybe they don't have the physical strength, but they have strength of mind. My friends are a perfect example. He responded to everything that displeased him (and everything did) by screaming, throwing things, and physical abuse. She, on the other hand, was strong enough to bear what he was doing calmly and intelligently. That sounds like the real strength to me here.
