My earliest memory about the late president was when I was in grade three. I was nine years old when her husband, Senator Benigno Aquino Jr., was assassinated in August 21, 1983. That was the time that I started collecting pictures and articles about Ninoy's family, when Cory run for President in 1986 my devotion increases, up to now, she was the only woman politician in our country I adored so much. When I learned of her death, I feel very very sad.

Hi there jlamela! This is an interesting discussion. Well, being born in the year 1988, I don't have much in mind about The Aquino, their leadership and things like that. I just know few things from them from my dad. I used to ask my dad questions like, did she become a good leader and things about her. Well, I'm more familiar with her youngest daughter celebrity host Ms.Kris. Democracy, that's what spells Former Pres. Cory's leadership. From the stories, news, write ups and talks, I think she is a woman of substance, a very humble leader and a God fearing woman. She is a record breaking leader in terms of making people unite to have a democratic country. I've also learned from my grandparents many things about the conflict of Aquino and Marcos. My grandpa shares many stories about how it begun and why things happened to be like that. My memory of Pres Cory is not based from experience but of other people's experience. and it's more than enough for me to understand how good she is and how great the impact she had brought to the Filipino people.

The 'bang bang' finger sign you mentioned is the sign of Ninoy's political party, PDP Laban, which Mrs. Aquino adopted when she run for president.:-)
