President Cory Aquino: woman of integrity and deep faith in God

No other woman politician in our country could ever matched President Aquino's values and integrity. She was truly incomparable. In her passing, Philippine's lost someone who had been the country's staunchest fighter for democracy.

Yes, President Cory is a big loss to Filipinos because she always fight what she thinks is right and always stood by with her principle. She was a true crusader of democracy. We greatly missed her.

and the world still cannot accept that cory, as filipinos call her, and the people power revolution in the philippines greatly influenced the non-violdent revolution in eastern europe that brought down the soviet union and its communist allies. of course, i credit that to the catholic church, particularly, the great pope john paul 2, and certainly, that president from hollywood, ronald reagan. but it was really cory who was in the battlefront. even pope john paul 2 was not in the trenches. and if i may add an analogy, perhaps it may be a poor one, but the pope is like coach phil jackson, and cory is MJ. we all get inspired by MJ, not by the coach.
