i am planning to get a lcd tv.. which brand is good and cost effective...?

Get LG Scarlet edition .. It is cheap and offer a better spec than other brands.. You are going to enjoy this.

I really like the new toshiba. My parents picked up a sony, but I'm not liking it so far. The new "sharp" tv looks really nice and affordable however. I've been doing alot of gaming on my friends "sharp" lcd tv and it makes gaming so much fun. That bad part is playing old games like ps1/ps2. It lags alot for some reason.
