How long was your longest relationship? What was the cause of the break up? Have you remained friends? Did you ever regret investing such a long time in that relationship and yet it failed?

I'm still in my longest relationship, my marriage of nearly fifteen years. Before my marriage I think my longest relationship was just off two years, but most of that wasn't good just couldn't bring myself to end it.

Well I guess my longest relationship is my marriage. I have been married for almost 25 years now. Before I got married I didn`t really have any specifically long relationships. A few months to a year at the most. The causes of the breaks were varied, but mostly due to "teenageitis" :) We were young immature and not ready for any specific commitment.

I am in my longest relationship right now, so there is no break up story for me to tell you all haha. But so far we have been together for 2 1/2 years and adding, so it has been pretty good. I think if we ever did break up, which is unlikely in my book, we would be still be friends. He is a great guy, so I would still talk to him, and I believe he feels the same about me (he must if we have been together so long!). But anyways, good luck in love everyone, and happy mylotting.

the longest relationship i have been in was for seven years. I now feel it was a waist of time and engery. I gave so much of me i felt i lost so much when it was all over. I mean like i don't understand why people can just say what they want and be honest and let the person go and find somone whom wants what they want. Be honest if you are not going to work for it then let the other person move on. It sucks feeling like it was a waist.

I am still in my longest relationship and hope to be in it for the rest of my life. My husband and I have been married for 5 years, we've been together for 8 years. We are lucky because we very rarely fight and I don't ever live in fear that our relationship will end. However, before I met my husband I was involved in a relationship for 1.5 years that I totally regret. He was abusive to me and I was young, I really should have opened my eyes and went on with my life a long time before I did.

The longest I had was a 3 year relationship. We broke up because we were not able to handle the long distance. I worked for 6 months away from home and from him, and while I was away, the communication wasn't that smooth eventhough we had all the ways to communicate. It was him who wasn't constantly communicating with me claiming the distance is getting inside him (how immature!) and later did we decide to breakup (over the phone). I was in pain all those time while I was away. Later after several months, while I was moving on and trying to overcome the pain, ironically he was running back to me again. But it was too late since I was starting to like another nice and 'mature' guy. Now I'm with the 'mature' guy and we're together for more than 2yrs already. ;-)

Funny you should say that because I just got dumped a few days ago. The cause of my break up was.I guess he had something planned last Friday but I didn't know that so I decided instead that I was gonna go out by myself so the whole night he's calling me back to back leavin messages.I answered most but I just kept ignorin him and hanging up.He accused me of cheating but I kept teling him I just wanted to be by myself which I was but I guess I disrespected him that whole night and now we don't talk he won't answer my calls or textes.I know I made a mistake by making myself look guilty so that's why we ain't together anymore. We wasn't seeing each other too long.I say about 2-3 months we were together and I regret what I did cause he was a good man.. :(
