Another "Middle Class Tax Cut" promise (lie) down the drain.

I have to wonder how many people remember Obama promising that no one who makes less than $250,000/yr will see one dime of tax increase? I'll give Obama credit though, his "middle class tax cut" promise lasted longer than Clinton's. On the other hand, neither of them had any interest in keeping it anyway.

Oh I knew as soon as the words left his mouth they were a lie. He knew it when he said it too. What shocked me was when he repeated it so many times. Including after he got elected. He said it again in his first state of the union address. Boy those words are going to bite him in the butt. With the economy the way it is people are going to get really pissed when more money comes out of their paychecks to uncle sam. Especially after the bail outs.

your luck then. Ours has not gone up YET (but it has not gone down either). But you know it will. How else are they going to pay for the nationa debt, the budget deficit and all these new soical programs. Not to mention the wars. THe rich can only be taxed so much...then they will come after the rest of us.

to me it seems like a up and down game one person gives it to you and another takes it away so if obama lowers it someone is going to come around and higher it wather it be gas going up or other taxes addes or food going up its a give and take thing and it will continue on no matter who is in office.

What about the part where Obama promised that no one making less than $250,000/year would see even a dime increase in taxes?

p.s. In fairness, I know he didn't mean any taxes that he has no say about.

he did say it and i think at the time he ment it but the people in the house are saying no we cant do that its not fair so he has to fight with them on it like he does with every thing else , so its a fighting game that will go on until some one wins and hopefully the president does cause we can use a tax break , but the thing with that is he will give it to us and then others will take it away by either raising food or some thing so no matter what you really can't wim.

In my opinion, the only things that Obama told the truth about (in his campaign and while in office) are that 1) he wanted to be President and 2) he would make changes. Everything else that he said and promised, "I'll believe it when I see it; but, I am not holding my breath while I wait". It was impossible for him to even try to implement a fraction of his promises unless he raised taxes. (Especially, after giving away trillions of dollars to big business.) The math did not add up then; and, it doesn't add up now.

It was bound to come sooner or later. I see how anyone really expected him to keep that promise. Where's the $2000 tax cut he promised everyone? What a joke.

What did I miss? I haven't heard anything about a tax increase...but then again I've been busy for the last couple of days and have been more or less out of the news loop...sorta. Do you have a link to anything?
