If you ever found little pinkish mouse babies in the corner of your house. What would you do? Are you going to throw it, toss in in a fire to toast, or call your favorite cats to devour on this mouse babies. You found the little, pinkish, sleeping innocent babies and whether you admit it or not they breathe and look wonderful. But, your husband or you family member hate mouse? They are like a pest and would not like to let them grow just like their parent mouse a pest in your homes..What are you going to do? Would you let these little mouse babies starve to death, throw it away or just let them live?

Sorry to say, i am not mouse person. I killed the last rat that i found. Rats, bite, and carry disease. They are a rodent. Rats can do a lot of serious damage to your home. They have also been know to bite kids in their sleep.

Hi, she..well, i respect your opinions..mouse really are a pest for some people and for other animals lover..they think of a mouse like the white mouse, hamster as a pets..or any mouse species with different colors as a pet..as they do need much space and very inexpensive to keep... However, rodents such as large rats is a source and carrier of diseases as any food that they have eaten is very dangerous to be consume by humans..anything that comes in contact with them..

If it was just me, Id know that I probably would try to 'adopt' it and take care of it, train it as a pet and not a pest. But my Mom or the househelp would definitely throw it away. Maybe not directly inside the plastic bags of trash but in a bin where there is space to move around. I really do not condone animal cruelty even if they are considered generally as pests. I have seen one and touched it actually. It didnt have any hairs yet. It was very pink and had little teeth protruding from its tiny mouth. I held it and wanted to take it home. Though I know my Mom would have a fit if I did so I just put it on the flat surface of a low wall. Played with friends for a bit then when I decided to check on it, it was gone. I really dont want to try and imagine what might have happened to it though.

Oh yeah, the grown ups also told us kids not to touch them next time because our human scent will stay on the babies. I kinda forgot what would happen because of that. Thanks for the remind. Rats are revered in India, there are lots of temples dedicated to them and most people would share their food and even sleep beside them. Im not very familiar with the Chinese belief that you have mentioned about but I do believe that pets are great companions. They would equate to having loyal friends and people can live and fight off depression or something like that just by having pets.

I couldnt agree more. Not that Im comparing human-human and pet-human interaction but both are on different categories. Its nice to have human friends and its also nice to feel the genuine loyalty of a great pet. I wish to have a friendship with my pets like how people in the US treat them. I mean, most families there would share their beds with their pets, whereas here in this country, dogs are more of a 'bantay' or an 'accessory' rather than a house companion. Well, I try to be as close to my pets as I can but these days Im keeping my distance from them. Got bitten by flees all over my legs. Now I have enough 'centavos' to be able to eat at a fancy restaurant.

Pets really know when their master is happy and sad. They will notice you and sit or get near beside you as in entertaining you..They are endearing and very affectionate more loyal than human friend...

Throwing them in a dust bin..much better than killing them..just imagine..if you put yourself in a situation of a mouse..humans are more dangerous...they look bigger and more powerful to kill or eliminate their whole species....a female mouse really jump quickly in seeing humans they are really very nervous and afraid of humans more than we do...

Wow, throw them in a fire? Feed them to a cat? That is gross and cruel. You could capture the mother and then move them all very far from your house into the woods or a field. And then if they die out there, well it will be of more natural causes. Besides your cat really shouldn't eat mice which probably have diseases. I've never had a mouse problem before. I mean I've encountered the occasional mouse in the house, but mostly those were the lucky ones that made past all the wild cats that lived in the neighborhood. So we had natural, food chain pest control. And once out of the three times we even had one live mouse around we caught it alive and my da set it free far from the neighborhood. I can understand that people do have mice as a pest problem, and that is unfortunate, but I just can't see myself throwing them in the trash, or in the fire, that's fcuked up.

What a dad?..you're lucky to have a compassionate Dad..most men are cruel to animals..almost all members of my family hate mouse especially my only brother really have fun chasing them..then banging mouse head on the wall..sometimes they kill it with pointed barbecue stick..then, I always found some limbs and half eaten mouse at my backyard..probably eaten by my male cat..my cat is so mad to mouse..they eat it and sometimes he caught a little snake..then he eat and crunch..crunch with this sound as he really enjoy eating them..Then..my mom hate when mouse run and hear them over the ceiling..she even buy a mouse trap and try to feed them with Racumin-a poison feed..But, mouse are intelligent they know it is a poison and manage to escape it..Then, I find this babies mouse..I call my mom to ask what to do with them..she like to put them in a can then toast in an open fire..I control my mom and get the can and reason out..I'll be the one to throw them and decide to put it beside the tree..

I can not even think of throwing them into fire or to let my cat eat it. They are little babies. I would let them grow up and when they are able to take care of themselves I will leave them in a place where they can stay alive. But hang on may be I will decide to keep them as pets. Many people keep rats as pets. Why I can not keep them as pets.

Better too if mouse mother return to feed them and transfer them to a place away from human eyes who will have a tendency to kill them..all their family.without exception..many mouse, rats like hamster, gebrils, chipmunks and exotic mouse like Egytian spiny have been known as a pets to animals lovers. They really are intelligent creatures, they need little space and very inexpensive to care for..They have their own values even though a lot of people see them as pest rather than pets..They are great help to scientist, zoologist and animals hobbyist..

considering them as a pets..good for you..their are many varieties of mouse like the Egyptian with spinal tail, hamster, chipmunks, gebrils and mouse with different colors.....maybe you could find one at a pet shop ...about the household mouse they are been to live with humans for centuries and up to present their population is not decreasing.....mouse are very intelligent and mouse raise in captivity compare to wild mouse can be a domesticated type..

Yes it is best if their mother comes and take them to a nice place away from us humans. But seriously after reading this discussion I am thinking of keeping rat as a pet.

This would be a hard call for me. Even if I got a friend to get rid of them I would still have the picture in my mind. We have to remember that these are pests, vermin. I know we should not kill anything but neither should we compromise our health and well being. My cat brings home mice. He plays with them and eats them. I feel so bad about this because the mice are so cute. My cat plays with them and even licks them while holding them with his arm. Then he eats them...crunch crunch. I feel so bad but I have to think this is his way and he is doing a good job getting rid of these pests that peo and wee all over our house. They destroy food, paper and clothing. I know my cat would not touch the babies but I believe it's necessary to get rid of the babies.

Some really find their species as dirty especially the common house mouse...they breed fast and that is why when I found one...my mother told me to throw them and i decided to put them under the trees...they could breed anywhere but not inside our house...

I was living with a friend, and I found one in the sink. I thought about calling the cat, but she would not let me. She got it out and dried it off and let it go in the house. Now I would probably not let the cat have it, but if it was up to me I would not have let it loose in the house. Have a blessed day.

They do carry diseases. I really do not like seeing them killed, but I do not want them in my house. They do cause sickness, It is best not to keep them in the house. We can put them outside. Have a blessed day.

my brother and mom are the same with you..they both hate mouse/mice and would all do anything to trap them ranging from mouse trap, mouse glue pad, poison food and when caught kill them with barbecue stick or banging their head on the walls..i really could not control them..they really hate mouse as they always says they are disease carrier..and contaminate food..but, when I see one being trap, with my brother not looking around..I help them to escape..I do not like to see them being killed brutally..mercilessly...

Well i guess I will just have to move them out of the house... I too never really like the idea of killing any animals just move them out so they wont be killed by any of your house pets like cats..in our place there are lots of cats so there is no chance at all that mouse would live here

I also have pet cats and my brother like to kill mouse whenever he caught them..then my male cat like to eat them..when the time I found the mouse babies I could not take it to see them being devour by cat..I decided to to put them in a can then put them near a tree..then it up for the mother mouse to find..then my mom doesn't like the idea..she says it going to die soon and it will emit bad odors over the place if they die..

That is better than killing them..those babies mice look helpless..if you put them outside house is better option than totally eliminating them..

i throw it in a dust pan and then put it outside my homes as i am sure they gonna die soon as their is no mother around. Aside from it i do not like my house to become the house of this mouse babies as even though they look cute they are going to be a pest if they grow up. i better of with no mouse or worst having mouse babies around.

It is better that way to let a mouse babies die naturally than killing them and probably if the mother is around she could get the mouse to feed her babies. Although, mouse are pest and the mouse babies would probably turn out that way. Still they look innocents and killing them would makes you feel guilty. at least throwing would also makes you less guilty..

Hello! I have a few cats and I would be happy they didnt find the nest . If the mommy mouse was there There would not be much I could do because If she smelled human on them she would eat them. I am the type that if their was no mom I would try to nuse them to get bigger and then let them in the wild or something . There was a time that my dad got a mouse trap and I freaked out! So he went and got one of those safer ones that will just catch them in a cube and all and then he set it free. Growing up I had hamsters and all , and all so .

Hamster is a very cute pet..they seem not being tired running around in a circles...or swinging..they look cute and so intelligent..they are a fast runner and only need small space and food is inexpensive..your dad still kind as he release the mouse..not killed them.. most men have fun killing mice...

I would probably feed them to my cat. While I don't mind mice, they are not on the endangered species list; in fact, they are quite prolific. So I wouldn't have a problem seeing if my cat would eat them. If she isn't interested, I know my pit bull will eat them. She'll eat anything if I point to it and say, "Scarlet, eat that." She is hilarious.

Oh..even your pit bull really have exquisite appetite..just like a domesticated and wild cats..they are very horrible to look upon..but that is their nature..for me I probably put them outside my house..

I would call a pet emergency hospital and ask the best way to package them and what kind of shelters or farms to take them to. I would don yellow kitchen gloves or something, and shower afterward, as you never know what rodents could be carrying.
• Philippines
7 Aug 09
That is one of the best solution to save animals..but pet hospital or animals welfare rescue welfare are the best way to call with those cases involving animals..yeah..wearing protective gloves is the best way to protect our self against disease not just in handling animals..but also washing our hands every time we got dirt..

i think i throw it,i don't like it,i don't hope to waste my food to look after it. i think that it could not change their character and often eat food from people's, so let me hate it,i could not look after it as my pet,it is human's enemy in my mind,so what i do to throw it.

I love mice and rats, and have had pet rats for the past several years. I don't want to encourage wild mice to live in my house though, as they can cause damage to important things like wiring. If I found mouse babies, I'd probably try to hand raise them, but its VERY had to do for baby mice. Especially when they are pink and hairless. If they are old enough to have some fur on them, their chances are better.

Just like the mice babies that I found..they are very little and look very helpless..it is really hard to raise them..the mother mouse really have to feed them ..and i decide to put them outside my homes..luckily, if the mother find them they would probably live..
