How did you learn how to swim..

The first ever swimming stroke i've learned was dog style.. lol.. i know theres no style as that... When i was 8yo, the whole family went for a vaction in one of the beach here... i dont know how to swim that time.. im just contented playing along the shore and i always left alone while all of them having fun swimming.. i asked my brother if he can accompany me coz im alone but instead he brought me to the middle and left me striving myself to stay alive while his just watching me from a distance... his a good swimmer i know that whatever happen he can easily catch me.. i dont know how much water i drink that time while striving for survival.. all i know is i keep on kicking and spreading my hands like im flying, just to keep myself on the top.. i was terribly crying like hell that and they all just watching me and laughing... then i reached the sea side after all my effort of fighting against the wave... i couldnt stand that time due to i was tired and feel so weak.. and let no one to come near me as i hate them all.. after i regain my strength, i rushed to my parents and tell them what happened and they are so angry. but you know what my sibling said. They just want to teach me how to swim... and i guess its effected coz the next time.. i already know how to swim with dog style.. then followed by other style... we also do the same to my nephew and niece. we brought them to the middle of the sea with the boat and throw them away while we watch them striving their life.. though we can help them if in case they are in big trouble, so dont try it if no one know how to swim or else all of you might be in big trouble.. In the middle of the sea is the best way to learn how to swim... coz of the pressure from the bottom of the sea that makes you float as long as your kicking and moving your hands like your flying.. how about you?
