I do believe there has to be a creator, because all the evidence points to this universe having had a beginning, and whatever caused it to begin has to be a lot more than just "nothing." When you start with nothing, absolutely nothing, all you will ever get is...nothing. So...if indeed a creator caused this universe to exist, whatever that creator is must be in all ways greater than and superior to everything that was created. So I'm guessing that creator is not only more creative than you or me, that creator must also be more intelligent than you and me. Have you ever read anything about intelligent design? More scientists are being mazed at how well balanced all the natural laws of gravity, inertia, energy, etc. are such that is anything was just a tiny bit of the universe would have fallen apart long ago. And more scientists are remarking what complex operations take place in even a "simple" cell. Which brings me to conclude that if the creator wanted to, that creator could well have determined there to many planets in many places with life on them. Whether or not they ever have or ever will visit us is another question. I used to read a lot about UFO's but they might all be optical illusions or natural phenomenon that we don't yet understand. Or...experimentation being done by the military or other entities that have not gone public yet. If an alien ever does drop by to say "hello" I'll be sure to try to greet it in a friendly manner.

Along the lines of aliens, I do like science fiction movies, including those that are comedies. I liked the Coneheads movie in which those aliens fit right in with the population. I enjoyed Men in Black, which showed how some of the "aliens among us" were those peculiar celebrity personalities who we always thought weren't quite of this world. :o) And, yes, to think that random purely accidental chance resulted in the living creatures...especially those who can conceive of right and wrong and compassion and cruelty...well...to think that way is to me what should be called "blind faith."
